SS/EA build advice
I don't know about better as I just spent 5 mins on this but its a play with it anyway.

Didn't look at it too closely, but a few things: Serendipity is not really a set you want to be using. Uses up a lot of slots and doesn't really help you much, giving .63% more def to two damage types, while giving double that to a positional. Look into moving those slots around, leaving the LotG 7.5% and 3 Hami-O's of the appropriate type for you to move 2 slots. Boxing is a good power to move them over to, as the stun set 'Stagger' has a 3 slot bonus of 1.25% Fire/Cold, basically acting like two Serendipity sets.
In general I'd overlook your build and use the set bonus finder to help with this--You've got a lot of set bonuses geared toward a primary positional +def, which means you're only using the halved type-def bonus. Try to avoid that when possible.
Also note that I think Energy Drain should be slotted better, but I don't know how often you team or how Energy Aura itself performs on just the high defense.. but I know it has a Toxic and a Psi weakness, so I'd probabl want Energy Drain to be used as a decent heal in large groups.

Thanks for the help. both of you. The character in question is still leveling, but it's been lots of fun so far, and it's good to know I can fill the negative hole without crippling the build. Psi and toxic would still be hard, but not everything does exclusively psi or toxic.
Hey, I finally managed to get onto this forum, so this is my first post hehe.
Read here since I played the game myself, which was over 2 years ago, but I still like to creaty builds with Mid´s. Wanted to create a SS/EA in Mid´s myself, and saw this thread a bit later, so here is my shot at it. It is a bit different from your build.
I think this is far more expensive than the other builds postet, but should be better in every way, if you can handle the costs (At least I hope so, don´t know it practically lol). Back when I quitted, the Purples were at about 40 million, so it should be doable to get them.

Energy Drain is more slotted as a heal, but still uses only 4 slots.
The only Problem I have with the build, is that Hasten is still not perma.
Maybe someone, who is really into builds and numbercrunshing can make my build a bit more rewarding. But all in all, it should do fine.
Cypher, five-slotting Hasten with Recharge? I think you should read up on enhancement diversification, which will also explain why you haven't been able to "perma" Hasten:

Similarly, Power Shield and Kinetic Shield are way overslotted for defense. In addition, that Steadfast KB protection IO is wasted on EA, which has sufficient KB protection in Entropy Shield. I also think that you'll find that Purple prices have gone up considerably; you'd be hard pressed to buy a purple IO for an attack set for less than 100 million.

Cypher: I took a look at the build, and I have to say, I prefer Dawn's. Your build isn't softcapped to negative, and in five minutes' tinkering I was able to use the overslotting in Hasten and a couple of other powers to five-slot Boxing with Absolute Amazement for another 10% recharge. This actually reduced Hasten's cooldown, although by less than a second. Also, two Performance Shifters (EndMod and proc) and a common EndMod in Stamina is pretty much strictly better than three PShift. There's an argument at four, thanks to the +recovery bonus, but not three.

I know about ED and the small amount of recharge the 2 last slots give to Hasten, but in this case and to get Hasten perma it is pretty good imo, and you don´t need the hardcore amounts of rechargebonusses. But thanks to AnElfCalledMack, the absolute amazement thing looks like a good idea!

I know Def is not comparable to ToHit, but with Darkest Night, in many cases you should be softcapped to Negative, and have much more defence to psionics.
The 3 Performance shifters are for the 1,88% HP bonus, what is actually abd about that? No need for further endurance gain, because the 2,24 End/sec + Energy Drain should do well.
And from what I see, I prefer my build more.
It has more max hp, and therefore more HP regeneration. In general, it has around 24% more recharge bonus, and f.e. Energy Drain has less recast and does more for your endurance and is a pretty good heal, when facing a big mob. So all in all, I think my build can be improved by some hardcore numbercrnshrs, but that is what I already said and it was just my shot at this brute. So you should decide, what you like more, because it will be your bute.
Hey. I've been tinkering with a build for my SS/EA. I finally managed to get it softcapped to S/L/F/C/E, but I feel like I must be missing something important. Does anyone know how to make it work better, or am I just flogging a dead horse?
