Intermittent Animation Speed Surge

This is kind of weird, and I've only just noticed this in the last day or two, but every once in a while I notice that animations seem to be sped up. Incoming attacks, outgoing attacks, even just idle animations (shifting one's weight, etc.). Moving doesn't appear to be affected, but that's harder to tell. But I'm used to the rhythm of my attacks, and it's off.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a known bug/problem/fix/whatever for this? I wouldn't even begin to know how to search for this. I've got a middle-of-the-road computer. I did recently upgrade my RAM if that would make a difference.

I noticed the same thing (or at least something similar) a while back after i17 went live. In my case it seemed to be related to the multi-monitor memory usage problem because after going back to a single display I never noticed it again. So I guess the question would be, do you have an ATI card and are using multiple monitors?

Aside from that, I have absolutely no clue what could cause it.

No, nVidia. 7950GT, If I recall correctly. Single monitor. Might there be a setting which would affect animation speed?

Not that I'm aware of. This just started for you today?

I don't remember it happening before that massive maintenance downtime the other day. It's still happening today, too, on both my computers and on both my and my wife's accounts.

A friend of mine wasn't sure if he noticed it when I mentioned it to him. Of course, that was on his new character, so he might not be all that familiar with the rhythm of his attacks.
