Thanks to all the responses on my previous thread, I have decided to make a Fire/SS tank. The main purpose will be farming. Everything is good except for PvP enhancements. Please talk a look at my build and help me correct/edit it. Thanks all!

First of all: Dang that's a lot of purples. This will end up being quite the expensive build.

The Numina's Unique would serve you better in health were it will be a constant bonus instead of just giving you help whenever you use Healing Flames.

I'm not a big fan of Melt Armor. Not because it's a bad power, but because of it's really glacial recharge. If you're just using it to get to Fireball I can understand, but I'm more of a fan of Fire Blast as it gives you a second ranged attack.

I'm also not a big fan of Hand clap since the kb will move folks out of your damage aura and possibly some of your AoE's. I can see using it as a mule for set bonuses, or for some mitigation when needed.

In the long run I would be very concerned at how well your blue bar holds up, that's a ton of recharge with not a huge amount of +end/+rec and your big hitting attacks are very poorly slotted for end reduction. You'll be using over 40 pts. of endurance in Fireball, Foot Stomp, and Knock Out Blow for just one round of attacks. You'll be hard pressed to keep a constant attack chain with that kind of endurance usage.

I agree with Rangle's concern and will add a few of my own.

First of all, what is your goal for this build? You've slotted for defense bonuses, but you're all over the map on what kind, (typed vs. positional) and have completely underslotted Weave, which would do more for you than any set bonuses.

Also, your main Fire armors are underslotted. I'd recommend at least three slots, and if possible, four in FS, PS and Tough so they're adequately slotted for resistance as well as end reduction.

Are you actually going to use Kick or is it just a set mule? If you're using it as a set mule, why not use those slots to adequately slot Jab? I agree with Rangle about Hand Clap, and furthermore I think you'd get a lot more use out of Haymaker since as it stands you only have two ST attacks, one of which is unslotted.

Obliteration is a poor choice for Blazing Aura, since the set has less than 20% end reduction and a high-end toggle like BA should get a least 50-60% end reduction.

The Gaussian's set in Rage is a good pick for a positional defense build, but you're so far away from the soft-cap that those slots could and should be used for something else.

I also think you should shuffle your power order a bit so you can take Stamina by level 20. Because of its high end cost, BA is a good candidate for delaying until after Stamina.

Speaking of Stamina, 6-slotting Perf Shifter for the AoE bonus is worthwhile if you're near the soft-cap, but as it is you'd be better off using some of those slots elsewhere.

Here's what I would do with your build; I've retained as many of the purples as I could, and increased S/L/E/NE defense to around 25% while increasing your resist values and decreasing end consumption. Since I didn't change the slotting of the purples, I agree with Rangle that may be a problem in the future, so you may want to be sure to pick up the recovery accolades if you're going to stick with the purples.

My updated build. Took advice from both of you, and made this version of the build. Any final thoughts? He will be used as a FARMER, so he needs good recharge. I have enough money to buy purples, also.

Much better. The only problems that I see are that Jab and Haymaker are underslotted for accuracy and damage, and that Fire Blast is unslotted for accuracy. At least pull a slot from Fiery Embrace to put in Haymaker and change the enhancements in Fire Blast so it has some accuracy enhancement.

By the way, I do understand about a farming build needing recharge. However, to me the question is *how much* do you need, given that you have eight attacks.
