Looking for active SG
Wow, never has one post embodied my thoughts so entirely. I had thought that the SGs of just random people working towards a common end were lost to a bygone era, and now the only things left are the groups of close friends SGs or the giant corporation SGs that are so big you don't know who the leaders are and there is almost no rank progression.. I have, in the past on a different server, organized some decently successful SGs, as circumstance and boredom have forced me to quit CoH at intermittent periods. I am interested once again in organizing an SG but haven't been able to find a decent business partner. If you want to get in on this idea please message me @SilasGray.
You pay to play. Having fun is ok. Kill Skuls or kill Crey. Hunt at night or in the day. Black or white or shades of grey. Play it your way. We have no say.

An 11 year veteran of mmogs is looking for an active SG on Virtue (blue side) -- EST.
Tired of the SG's that just have lots of new players signing up everyday, only to go inactive the next day and a few old timers that have been offline for years. Also tired of the bases that have rooms and rooms of worthless deco with no function what-so-ever. And finally tired of the SG's that set promotions extremely high with no access except to real life friends.
(I run a VG on the red side of this server called the Red Dragons. First promotion (Dragon) has access to 6 salvage bins for only 15,000 prestige. There are additional rooms with more racks and enhancement storage off the main workshop area for the higher ranks. The Dragon Veteran room is full of rares. The workshop area is right off the entrance. On the other three sides of the entrance is the telepads room, medical with a bot, and the conference room. This base provides easy access to its members for things they need a base for, without searching through miles of lagged, deco filled rooms).
So the red side is covered. Looking for blue side SG.
Mostly play my lead tank called "Alpha Defense". He just turned 36 and his role is running ahead and jumping into a large mob, taking the "alpha" and holding them there for others to attack without worry. Alpha has an AoE that goes off every 8 seconds and does some other damage (just trained Energy Transfer). He doesn't have the lower tier'ed damage powers to build up his tanking abilities.
Interested in TF's as well as missions with a regular group of game vets. Yes, PUG's are okay, but when someone quits the team after every mission if get very slow. In other mmogs I have played with regular teams where we meet a few nights a week. The team is well balanced and flies through missions with ease, but is also cautious and knowledgeable with the difficult ones.
