Advice on a DP/Dev Build

Hi all

New player to CoX (check my epic post count ) and so far really enjoying it. A very pleasent change from WoW (Sorry, had to get my digs in).

Question though, I've been playing a DP/Traps Technology Corruptor (I know such a cliche) since starting up and, while I like the character, I just keep thinking that I've rolled him up with more of a hero slant to him.

He's not such a high level (10.5) and, rather than slog it through until level 20 and 'go rogue' I wondered what peoples thoughts were on the above pairing of skills.

It's obviously similar but with subtle tweaks like stealth, taser, smoke grenade and targetting drones instead of poison trap, acid mortar, force feild and triage beacon. I also prefer the look of the Munitions Mastery pool to the patron powers on the villain side.

So I guess I'm asking for opinions as to whether a blaster might suit me a bit better and what key skills/build might be useful. I tend to play more PvE than PvP but I can swing either way and I'm more of a solo player/casual team player due to my working hours being a little erratic.

Cheers in advance

Changing sides will in the life time of your character work out easiest and take no time. Traps is much more team compatible.

He will honor his words; he will definitely carry out his actions. What he promises he will fulfill. He does not care about his bodily self, putting his life and death aside to come forward for another's troubled besiegement. He does not boast about his ability, or shamelessly extol his own virtues. - Sima Qian.

The other option is to reroll him as a Traps/DP Defender. You get a bit less damage than a Corruptor but the Traps powers are more powerful (as are the debuffs from your pistols). If you want to roll as a DP/Dev Blaster you'll get a lot more damage but the secondaries are very different. Devices is often regarded as one of the weakest Blaster secondaries whereas Traps is one of the stronger support set (I would argue that solo it IS the strongest for a Defender/Corruptor but I'm biased ) .

Should be noted that the damage difference is more when on team than when solo, for Defender & Corr comparisons.
