In celebration of the July 4th, lets bring out the fireworks!

Let's meet up in the Hive on July 4th @ 3pm Pacific (4pm Mountain, 5pm Central, 6pm Eastern) and Nuke the [censored] out of Hamidon!

Please bring a Biological Mutagen Warhead, a Chemical Burn Warhead, a Nuclear Warhead, and a couple of breakfrees. The plan is to clear the first bloom and then power through the last 3 blooms!

I don't guarantee success, but I guarantee fireworks (and that your video card will be begging for mercy).

It's been done on other servers, let's do it too!

Anything they can do on another server, we can do BETTER!!!

I'll be there.

A few notes. For this, chemical nukes are more critical than biological nukes. We're gonna need about 15-20 chem nukes. Also, success or failure, this is going to be fast. From spawn to conclusion, we're looking at 10-15 minutes tops.

If somebody you're arguing with goes off the deep end, don't follow.

As Kid said, this is going to be over very, very fast...

We will either succeed, or fail horribly. I anticipate the former, but it will take all of us to accomplish this feat.

Soonerbud is Epic WIN ! She tolerated Subtle long enough to get me a chem nuke last night, and offered to get more, but I was very brain tired.

Monk...er... Major T deserves a shout out, as he too offered to help me get nukes

Monkey T... still smiling about that one.

Hyperstrike is sitting on the trifecta here.

To fortify your heroes, you may choose to acquire Empowerment station buffs. In particular, Knockback, Disorient, and Endurance Drain Resistance.

Didn't plow through the 3 blooms, but we didn't plow through the last and learned a few things that will make future raids smoother. We were low on EoEs and low on nukes after the initial assault. We managed pretty well considering. And everyone walked away with a HO. ^_^

We had fireworks and got a HO!

Nuh uh!

I "only" got merits!

=)

Anyhoo, while Hami gave a couple of our attempts a sound and thorough drubbing, we still stuck it out.

A few months back, this likely would have resulted in a lot of people practicing their best "brb" and "gtg" lines.

I think our problem right now is just getting cooridinated enough.

One thing I DO feel the need to ask though, mainly due to ignorance.

Is there a reason the ranged team is going after blues first, THEN greens?

I'd think it'd be easier to deal with a bit of end drain and frag greens than it is trying to kill stuff through 10,000+% HP (due to constant regen).

I noticed that we seemed to be trying to do the same thing during the villain raid, failing, then turning over to the greens.

Actually, Hyper, we work on the blues until the yellows are down, then switch to greens. If there are any blues left after the greens are down, then we go back to blues. We are not "failing," we are "switching."

We've done exactly the same thing at the last several raids.

The reason the General Assault (ranged) teams go after the blues first is that they don't require holding to defeat. Going after the Blues means that the Hamidon Aggro team can get in close to Hami and they don't have to reposition as often as when we go after the Greens.

An interesting fact: on many occasions, the general assault team was able to defeat all of the Blue Mitos before the Spike and Yellow Mito aggro teams were able to defeat the Yellows.

We've tested the defeating Greens first and defeating Blues first, and we've noticed that defeating the Blues first seems to make the raid progress faster.

More importantly, the blues can take damage without being held first. This allows the heals from the green mitos to be diverted from the yellows more easily. If blues are defeated in the process, great. If not, no big deal. The priority is to get the yellows down. Once the yellows are down, the scrappers/tankers are freed up to join the main assault. So instead of staying on the ranged only blues and have the scrappers/tankers twiddle their thumbs, we switch to the greens. The combined damage output is more likely to force through the heals than just the ranged/control ATs' damage output. Without the support of the greens and yellows, the blues are easy to finish off. Any questions?

Okay. What I'm saying is, I don't understand why. The strategy behind it.

Okay, I can accept that.
