Cannot test -- "Improperly formatted HTML"

Okay, novice MA user here -- opened up the editor for the first time this afternoon. What started out as a putter-about to learn the interface turned into a cool idea I wanted to work out. But when I finished that first mish and went to test it, I got a dialog box with "The field Name contained improperly formatted HTML" repeated sixteen times.

I'm kind of at a loss here. I don't have 16 of anything in the mission, not even in my custom villain group. Most of the entities don't seem to have a field called "Name", at least in the editor interface; those that do don't have anything vaguely HTML-like in them. I suppose it should go without saying that I typed everything in plain text; it never even occurred to me to use HTML.

Can anyone clue me in as to just what the heck is going on here?

Thanks.

If you're reusing your custom villain group in 16 different places, it may very well be the problem. Try deleting and retyping the group's name, if that doesn't work try the same with all the custom critters, or open up your local text file and try to find the error there.

HTML sometimes sneaks into places where it shouldn't be. Our editor, it has emotional issues.

Mm. I didn't explicitly use the villains 16 times, but at the moment, I can't remember how many places there are on the map I selected for them. I'll try your suggestions and get back to you. Thanks.

Okay, back. It wasn't the villains -- it appears to have been two things: One, I had embedded double quotes in several messages, which appears to have turned the double quotes that should have delimited them in the .storyarc file into semi-HTML codes. Plus, somehow HTML "br" codes were appended to the names of three of my mission goals.

Fixing all of these gave me the ability to test. Thank you for your help!
