I'm not sure if Technical Issues is the right place for this... but since this will affect anybody who has EVGA branded equipment... , it's probably the better place.
Short version is this. Yesterday I indicated in a support thread that Nvidia's last exclusive top tier partner, EVGA, was looking at producing ATi graphics cards and products.
Today, on HardOCP, it's been confirmed that one of EVGA's longtime European directors is no longer with the European branch. It's not explicitely stated that the person, Hans-Wolfram Tismer, was fired, or that he's left the company entirely.
It's also been rumored that EVGA is pulling out of the motherboard business, a claim that EVGA's Joe Darwin laughed off.
As of right now, something is going on behind the scenes at EVGA. What that something is, nobody really knows yet. My own suspicion is that we'll see a diversification in EVGA's product line-up.
