Ninjas/FF - Tech or natural?

I've got this ninjas/FF character I'm working on. This seems to cut so closely between tech and natural that I just plain can't call it. The ninjas aren't robot ninjas, but she's got force field generators. (which I might justify as a creative use of Chi)

At the very least, I know I'm going to give her hover, and use the rocket boots costume piece. But, I want her to have basic ninja skills too. I'm taking concealment.

So the pools are: Fitness, Flight, Medicine, Concealment.

The thing is I want to think of her as having some ninjitsu skills. Like, maybe not super good at it, but at least mildly ninja trained. But, the force fields, the rocket boots, and the medical gear seem to imply technology.

I don't know. There's both training and tech present here. Which do I call the origin?

If I could change origins later, I wouldn't care, but I can't. Have to get these kinds of decisions right from the start, because there's no going back.

You could call it Chi energy I guess. That might be considered Natural or maybe Magic. It all depends I think on what color you choose to make bubbles.

It never hurts to help.

I'd go with natural personally, namely because natural gets access to gadgets, sort of like batman or some such. Since the ninjas aren't robotic or cybernetic, they are pretty clearly natural. As far as SO's are concerned, tech gets cybernetics if I remember right, and natural gets "techniques", so if there are no cybernetics then the concept really leans towards natural with some natural/tech gadgets.

As for Chi, that seems to be a bit more magically oriented, though it could concievably be natural as well. Also, if your character isn't entirely human, don't forget that natural also covers any powers you get from not being human. In the end, though, it's really your call, as you are the one making and playing the character.

What would you consider your primary and go with that would be as your origin. An example would be character Fire/invul scrapper with flight. Character has high tech gauntlets that lets him create and shape fire.(tech) While he was at work a trey of chemical broke and got all over him making his skin tough.(science) His ability to fly he has always since a young child been able to levitate and fly. (mutant) Origin I went with is Tech because that is what his primary is.

Onibi---Fire/Fire/fire Blaster

I'm ready to burn it all.

Lets Fight!

ParadigmX City help the city.

So, what would you say about Ken and Ryu (In Street Fighter series) throwing their "Hadukens" around? Does that step outside the bounds of them being natural heroes, and make them magic heroes?

Hmmm. Interesting way to look at it. I'm thinking tech for the force fields and flight, but maybe her Force Bolt attack is a"Haduken" type ninja skill. (I might justify the force fields in some crazy way like that too, as a special martial arts-ish ability.)

The ninjas and oni follow her simply because she's the daughter of the Shogun, or because she's friends with them. (I'll make sure she does Darrin Wade's Arc before level 26, so she can rescue an Oni from the Lost.)

Do you think the mere ability to generate force fields is enough to justify a technology origin, or would a force field generator be "gadget" tech in the Paragon City world?

I know Batman doesn't have one, but the Sky Raiders have them.
