yeah well that was just to show that I got my pen working in the Corel "Photoshop"ish software... the point is that that was done in 1 min where as it would have taken an hour to do that without a pressure sensitive pen.

Thanks for the note on the sig. As I mentionned in another thread I tried a new sig inspired by our "minimalist" thread we had not too long ago.

It's true. Stuff that should be easier somehow comes out more crooked. Drawing smooth curved lines seems incredibly easy to me on paper, but much, much harder of a tablet, for no particular reason.

Maybe its the disengage between the drawing point and the result (tablet -> screen). Mebbe I need one of those fancy tablet PCs where you literally draw straight onto the screen.

If you're using photoshop, lower your Flow percentage to about 20-30%, this will allow you to draw curves easier. If you lower your opacity percentage to about 40-50%, you'll also get a more "pencil" like illusion with a hard round brush tool.

The higher the sensitivity pressure on the tablets, and they come in 512 (Bamboo), 1024 (Intuos 3, OLD Cintiqs)) and 2048 (Intuos 4 and NEW Cintiqs) the more natural the markings will come through, as they will pick up more and your markings will appear more "gesture" like.

The lower flow trick however works wonders... courtesy of Mr. Eddy Swan.

See, that's the part that gets me...I spend money on Photoshop and a tablet, and they just sit there! And Paintshop - it didn't paint a darned thing! Just sat there....started it up, told it to paint, and nada.

I don't know where these programmers get off selling stuff that won't do its job!

( BTW, I've spent some time trying to figure out what letters those squiggly lines spell out... )

The new Bamboo is either 512 or 1024 depending on what you get.

Bamboo Pen & Touch, Bamboo Fun and Bambooo Craft are 1024

The Bamboo Pen is 512
