How does power boost work exactly?
IIRC, it'll boost the effects of all click powers for the duration of the click, while toggles only get boosted for the duration of PB. Using Defender-Power Mastery-Power Build Up as an example, on a force field user, if I use PB while Dispersion Bubble is active, for 12.5s Dispersion Bubble will be boosted, and go back to normal afterwards. However, if I put Deflection/Insulation Shields on an ally while PBU is active, they will be boosted for their entire duration.
What's happening (and correct me if I'm wrong, anybody) is that PBU boosts anything it affects for it's entire duration. Toggles do have a duration, as well as a pulse period which is generally shorter than the duration, to keep them active. So Power Boost effects will boost the pulses until it wears off.
Hope this helps!
Do note that powerboosting AM only boosts its Run Speed component.
There are several effects Power Boost won't... boost. Such as resistance, damage, recharge, regeneration (but will boost +/-Healing), recovery (but will boost +/-End), etc
If Power Boost (or a variant thereof) is in effect, then any power you activate will receive the effect for that power's full duration. That is, PB + a Forcefield will amp up the +defense of the shield for the next four minutes.
However, for toggle-based powers like anchor debuffs or leadership auras, the duration of the power tends to only be around a second - toggles constantly reapply non-stacking, short-duration buffs so that once you deactivate the toggle the effect will fade in short order. As such, if you slap down Radiation Infection on an AV and then activate Power Build Up, your debuff will start at regular power, be amped up shortly after you hit PBU, and then fade back to normal strength shortly after PBU ends.
Rule number six of an empathy defender is NEVER underestimate a blaster's ability to die. I don't care if he has CM, Fort, both RAs, bubbles (both FF and Sonic), and is fighting next to a Storm defender with hurricane on. If there is a way to die in that situation, the blaster will find it.

Alright, thanks everyone.
I can't decide atm between going with Mu Mastery or Soul Mastery for my fire/rad corr. I'm getting him into a perma AM build, and while going with Soul Mastery and getting Power Boost will give me some leeway on slots as well, going with Mu Mastery gives me power sink for end which I may really need when I consider how toggle heavy rad is.
I'm looking at power boost right now and...
Yeah. It's...pretty underwhelming that most of rad doesn't get a boost from this. The one thing I do see is that it could give EM pulse a 110% end drain when I have it slotted the way I currently do, as well as adding about 100 points of healing...that's about it. Run speed is increased with AM but meh. I'm running a perma AM/hasten build here anyways.
What would you guys recommend with a fire/rad then? Going with Soul Mastery for power boost, or going with Mu mastery for a 30 second power sink?
I mean, I know what it does, but what I'm curious in is how long the effect lasts. For example, if I give off a powerboosted AM, will the powerboosted effects stay for the duration of the power, or will it stop after PB fades?
I'm assuming with toggles and certain powers, such as disruption arrow, stop working after the 10 seconds or so.
Can someone give me a clear explanation on this?
