rgh... that's one of the things I can't stand with Illusion, especially during the stretches of the game where everything's *not* slotted up fully. I hate the "illusory damage" nonsense.

Going to stop before I get into an Illusion rant. I'll just note that it's one of my least liked sets.

I'd really prefer to avoid the "One Color Per Blast" theme, myself. Even if it does make sense from the spectrum view.

It's not really a rainbow without all the colors, y'know? And with power Customization used by most of the male players picking the set up for fear of being infected with "Teh Gay" it'll make less sense, visually.

Again, I'm leaning towards the Illusion damage idea, myself. Since it would increase the sets damage dramatically, for a short duration per enemy, with a healing effect to follow. Minions and Lieutenants would die faster under the aim of the Rainbow wielder, but anything higher than that would have the option to heal the damage.

Well, what I suggest isn't one color per blast. Those are just tags for explanation that's more easier to grasp. i.e. how easy is it to translate "wavelength splash: 450 nm" compared to "color splash: violet"?

And this is why it shouldn't be called "Rainbow Blast". Because it denotes color and colors can be changed. Unless you're suggesting this blast set have 7 colorable FX for each 1 power, it's no rainbow (also, there's no 'rain' so it can't technically be a rainbow. It should be "Spectrum Blast").

Not claiming my idea is good, but technically, you could probably incorporate illusionary damage into "Radiant Blast" under the assumption that separate wavelengths within Ultraviolet and Infrared cannot cause significant permanent damage...the tier 9 white light nova, though, could be all 'real' damage.

...just a thought.
