I am even more certain that it couldn't be completed with a full team all of whose members are 10-15. It certainly seems like it needs some adjusting.

I regret anything I said that caused anyone any pain; that was not intended. But I was not having fun at all by that time. And it was my understanding that the TF disbanded by general consensus that it could not be completed and wasn't fun any more.

I wouldn't blame anybody but myself: rather than a team of eight we should have run two teams of four. Then again, that was my first time running the new version, and in future tries I'm not taking more than three or four. If there's a magic strategy for getting past the door, I don't know what it is.
We completed with 7. It was tough, but doable. Even with 4 of us in part 2, there were alot of stacking Ruin Mages.

Should I have split into smaller teams? Maybe. I asked for leaders for the runs and got 3 volunteers besides myself. I picked 2 at random thinking we would have 12 or so people doing the runs. I did not expect 19-20. Tanks dont exactly shine at level 15 (low def/low resists), but thats part of what makes victory all the sweeter. For the record, the 7 man all tank team beat one of the TFT (mixed) teams for time. It is possible, but as out 40 some odd deaths (Witty died first) will atest, it is difficult.

I did not see a problem with doing it with 8 as the day I17 went live, I walked 7 other (team of 8) through both parts. I have done it several times on test and personally was looking to make sure bugs were removed then.

I know another member of the team was trying to push the other tanks in the right direction to move this on. But might have hit that time in aTF were people are glassy eyed and just want things to be done.

I didnt want a speed run through it as TANKS really dont have the damage for swit and deadly damge strikes. If I would have know that was your 1st time through it. I would have pushed a bit more for speed style attacks and style (kinda what I used to finish it).

Posi never had a good name for its TF. I am a Old school Posi fan (ok I like the merits from it and have been able to do it in about 1hr (average about 1:20)). Even with the changes that have been made to Posi TF, speed runs are the only way to go.

Oh and the 90 deaths.. its nothing but can be a discourgement for some.

In retrospect, what we should have done rather than loading up on purples is to have gone in with breakfrees and awakens. Then at least we might have been able keep moving so we could die around the corner. We'd rez ourselves when the mobs reset, so we could continue without having to face that whole army again. It wasn't just that there were ruin mages, we'd handled them before in single spawns, but that there seemed to be several spawns' worth of them crowding the door.

Next time I'll try that.

Door way into Atlas has 3 fast spawns of COT. With your thinking I would add have one person enter with a break free and then exit. If the spawn is an ambush spawn they will follow you out where the rest of the tanks could ambush them. that way your not dealing with Terris (sp) mob at the same time. Finish the fight on the steps and then head in.
