I have a Geoforce 9400 GT 1 gigabyte card...and I tried lowering the settings...it looks like it's trying to fix the issue, but it is so transparent you can barely see the field.

Dear Devs...it's time to give us simple water, at least in single 1/4 tile squares.

I actually likethe darker look on those.

But I noticed they are only darker in low light rooms. When there is plenty of light, they seem too bright to me.

I have a 9400 GT (1 gigabyte card) and outside, everything looks totally awesome to me. I suspect I'll need more ram soon, but that's fine. Even water looks awesome.

In the base, I tried lowering the water settings...didn't work. I tried switching to the same settings (high) that it looked good with before. Nothing seems to work.

I even updated my video and direct x drivers.

I checked and yes there is a definite change to the way it looks. While I am thinking that with the new Ultra Mode this is WAI I also hope that this will get fixed. The best way would be to allow us some actual water textures and not make us jump thru hoops as we have been doing for so long.

Sadly it appears that from the sounds of things about the next few issues, the bases are still low on the totem pole of things to get to. Sometimes I think the devs hate base builders worse than villains :P

Unless we speak out enough about wanting that attention...as a group. There are 3-4 threads near the top of the forum right now pushing this. I recommend you post in each one, just to make your desires and concerns known. Each of the threads serves a valid purpose too.

Ha! I was wondering why the small center marker seemed so pronounced as of late. For a moment inside our tech base's new pool, I thought that Kegan had somehow found a way to add an exploration badge!
