Dark/Dark Tanker
BotZ's set bonuses will be reduced beyond 50%, but that's another discussion.
First off I noticed you've grabbed a lot of set bonuses that give you more melee then s/l defenses.
For example you can get the same 1.25% s/l defense with 4 slotting Reactives in Dark Embrace for the 6 slots your currently using. You'd get more mileage if you moved two of those slots to taunt and 4 slotted Mocking Beratement. Maybe pull the Steadfast Res/End off of Murky Cloud to get that 4th slot. The extra defense is worth loosing the minute .03 end/sec set bonus you get from the two Steadfasts.
I don't see ANY kb protection what so ever. Grab a Steadfast, Karma or even BotZ -kb or you'll be being bounced all over the place. 4 kb protection covers most of the game, but you can still get bounced a bit. The usual thought is either go for 4 or go for 12 kb protection.
Personally I think you've under slotted both Siphon Life and Dark Consumption.
Those are my first thoughts. As always YMMV.

I took a look at your build, and, well, not really the way I would go with it. You are kinda light on damage, especially the way you have Midnight Grasp slotted, Siphon Life as well. It also looks like you might be a bit end heavy, but maybe not. Taking Earth Mastery just to cap your def is a bad idea as well. You can smite and slot with KC's and bridge the gap. I also see you have skipped hasten. Up to you on that one, but I prefer to take it myself, the faster my DR pops back up the happier I am.
Anywho, here is my current build on my DA/DM. It has proven to be very, very effective. only IOs I am missing are 2 of the LoTG recharges, and the purps in Dark Consumption. I have Oblits in that, works well.

Given the name "Nethersand" Deth I would think Earth Mastery was part of the concept. I actually like the concept, as I said with someone elses youtube video where they looked alot like Sandman from what they did graphically to their Dark/Dark.
To the OP the order of powers can be important as you may want an exemplarable build that allows different powers all the slots they need to get the bonuses you want.

If you are going for concept, keep the Earth stuff how it is, and reslot a bit closer to what I was using, should still put you close to the cap. I monkeyed with the build you posted and came up with some crazy stuff, but nothing coherent enough to post.
Personally, on concept toons, min/max be damned is my mantra and go for fun. Like on my fire/fire/pyre tank Flamin' Waffle. Only non aoe attack he has is breath of fire, which I made look like he is spewing maple syrup on ya.

My attempt at a Dar/Dark Tanker. I tried to hit the soft cap for S/L. I did not use Blessing of the Zephyr since the percentages are going to be nerfed by 50% in the upcoming issues. Thanks in advance for tips and advice.
