Returning player Needs Help with Troll is Troll

Ok so I recently came back and I am trying a few things out. One thing I wanted to give a spin was an RP based tank character that is model after the Trolls in game. After poking around and tossing back and forth the idea of a MA/Regen(punch animations) scrapper and a WP/SS tanker I figure the tanker is going to be more in line with a vary Troll like build.

So Hes my alpha build of this idea. Any suggestions? I don't have issues hunting around to get Common IOs and I uselly do that when I get access to 25s and then re slot when I get access to 45s I would have limited to no access to IO sets but I will try and eek out ones for healing to get the regen up more if I can.

Keep in mind I went jumping over flight because it more troll like and I do like having access to Taunt before I hit 30. I would love some pointers or suggestions to make this build really shine.

Okay, my experience is that HPT and Fast Healing will easily carry a Tanker through the first half-dozen levels or more. Put priority on those and Mind Over Body can wait... a little.

You absolutely want to have Indomitable Will before you start fighting CoT and Lost and it's really useful against KB and such, so I always arrange to take is ASAP.

While Quick Recovery is better than Stamina and so you don't have the same 'Neeed Stamina!' hunger that other Tankers have, it still makes a big difference and should be acquired before L32 - IMO. Others will argue for taking it even earlier.

I agree with Fireheart's points. A few other things to consider:

In that build, you've got Mind Over Body, Combat Jumping, Rise to the Challenge, Indomitable Will, Heightened Senses, and Tough all being "paid for" by only Quick Recovery. That's quite a lot of toggles to be running with just one Endurance Recovery tool backing them up. Additionally, Rage has a 25% End "crash", and Strength of Will a 50% End "crash"; in short, if it were me, I would definitely move Stamina up...way up (I think it's at 22 or 24 in my WP/SS build).

I agree with StormDevil. Stacking Stamina and Quick Recovery early on migh tlook like overkill on paper, but you'll really end up wanting it before level 41.

I would also get rid of Focused Accuracy and Hurl and replace them with Hasten and Conserve Power. Hasten allows you to STACK Rage, which will give you more ToHit buffs over all anyway and costs less endurance to do. Conserve power will really help you recover from those Rage, Strength of Will, and Hasten crashes, allowing you to keep going after a big crash without having to rest.

Too many alts to list.

Also, you've got 4 heals in Health (3 is the ED cap) and you're slotting to-hit debuffs in Rise to the Challenge, which are of dubious value. At least get 3 heals in it ASAP.

Also, you may find 3 jumps in Super Leap to be more than enough. Although they're not "useless," I usually leave it at the default slot unless I'm slotting sets.

Strength of Will probably does not need an endurance discount, since it's a click on a long recharge. Combat Jumping costs so little (.06 end/sec) that I wouldn't bother with end reduction in it, period.

Otherwise solid-looking build.

Re: Rise to the Challenege
Totally concur that the toHit debuff slotting is not the way to go. With 6 slots in it, you can go 1 EndRdx, 3 Heals, and 2 Taunts. The Taunts are pretty critical if you plan on being "lead Tank"; Willpower lacks a decent Taunt aura, but slotting two even level SOs (or any Common Taunt IO higher than or equal to level 25) goes a long ways towards alleviating that.

Hey thanks for all the feed back on this. Going to poke it a bit more then toss it into Mids and see how it goes. Yeah I do agree with moving stama up I currently have a WP/DB tank i've been playing with that I respeced to get stam into earlier to help with the toggles and the lack of endredux on the attacks and its working better so I will do the same with the WP/SS build.
