There was an update this morning.

I used to have a problem every time, and my anti-virus was always the culprit. Re-Allow both the coh .exe and the updater .exe even if it says it's allowed. That always solved it for me.

How would i go about doing that?

Check your anti-virus or firewall settings, it really depends on what you are using.

There is usually a tab for 'Exceptions'. That is where you would select each executable and set to 'Allow'.

Perhaps provide some details as to which Anti-Virus and/or firewall programs you are running, and your Operation System. There will be someone who will know exactly where you need to go, and what to click on.

Yeah, i found the Exceptions tab but there was nothing COX related. My connection on my main computer just broke so now i have to use a laptop, something freaky is goin' on.

You are supposed to MAKE an exception for City, not just check whether you have one or not.

get rid of whatever virus protection you have now and get avast or one of the other free virus protection programs. i have never had a problem with it.

Ok, so i went to Windows Firewall and added COH and the uninstaller to the Exception list, it's still not working and those were the only ones COH related on the list of things to add.

You're best bet is to send a PM to Moderator 08.
Will do, thanks for your help anyway.

I'll explain exactly what happened.
Opened COH and entered log in info. Notice popped up so i kept restarting the game. Didn't work. Opened the internet and it worked perfectly. I looked around to see if anyone else had the problem. Exited internet and opened COH again. Nothing worked. Opened internet, internet wasn't working but COH still connected and certain websites worked.
Now, the desktop internet is broken. The other computers work fine. Did COH have anything to do with the internet problem?

(I'm getting a new modem to fix old internet problems and a computer guy should be coming in a few days, but i want to know more about this)
