Windows 7, updater and NC Launcher

Windows 7 and the NCsoft launcher, sometimes certain things dont get very well along.

The NCsoft launcher does have a Program Files writing check (it even ask you to allow NCacces if u dont run as administrator), however CoH itself doesnt have. Offcourse this can be easily fixed by editing some registry entries and dont install it into Program Files, but its far from perfect.

Sidenote, Since pretty much the first updater.exe i've had, it always wants to add a '/City of Heroes' behind pretty much any location you give it to install (if u hit cancel at the confirmation window), by default in the Program Files.

So where it goes wrong? NCsoft launcher always tries to install CoH in the NCsoft folder in Program Files. Nothing wrong, as the Launcher has the Program Files write-permission check, however if you launch CoH not fromout the Launcher and there is a patch, it will eventualy gives an error that it cant write file temp (whatever that is). updater.exe doesnt even know that NCsoft folder, and the EU updater doesnt understand it has to install in 'City of Heroes (EU)' and not 'City of Heroes(EU)/City of Heroes' (see my sidenote).

This even gets worse if you have a user with limited right (aka no writing abilities in Program Files), it wont even launch CoH at all (error writing temp). If you then launch it from NC Launcher it will fix a few piggs and still ready to go.

Can it go worse? Yes, EU and US clients. NC Launcher is based on your Region settings wich version it will initialy install. The NC launcher does make a seperate (EU) folder (so u have 'City of Heroes' and 'City of Heroes(EU)'), but that is basicly having 2 2GB+ folders while you only need one, running updater.exe or updater.EU.exe from the same folder works. And then im not even talking about the EU and US test clients, wich it ALSO installs in seperate folders.

So now i'm stuck with nearly 10GB of data, entire seperated costume and AE files, again tweaking my registry to get everything working again. (now my US test is in Program Files/CoHtest, while my EU test is in Program Files/NCsoft/CoHTestEU, moving it and changing the command line in NC Launcher it goes back to the question where i want to install :S).

So my main question/advice, maybe you guys could check this out and perhaps take it into account on the road to Going Rogue/Ultra Mode? Currently my harddisk is nearly duplicated on NCsoft game data (Lineage, Aion, City of Heroes), just because u guys have EU and US different clients.
