Hit 45 on ninja/storm. Where do I go from here?

I just hit 45 on my ninja/storm MM and I'm doing a respec and I'm not sure what to do as far as IOs are concerned. I was thinking of working towards ranged defense but, well, I don't know. I do have all four uniques slotted (two in tornado, two in pets). What did other people do on their ninja/storm characters?

What kind of money are you wanting to put into it? My planned build shoots for a combo of Ranged/Aoe defense, as much defense as I can get into the pets, recovery, and recharge. Requires a couple of purple sets and maybe some PvPO's.

Well, I'm no expert on this (only 2 MM to 50, Mercs/TA and Ninja/Storm), but the primary focus on my build was to beef up my S/L resist, mostly using powers (Tough and Shark Skin), followed by a focus on recharge (gotta get that TC perma), and recovery and ranged defense through as tertiary attributes.
My particular build is pretty toggle-heavy (Tough/Weave, CJ, Steamy Mist, and Shark Skin), and prolonged EB/AV fights will sometimes leave me sucking wind (until I get the Miracle proc, at least), but I've found the system works pretty well, and was even able to boss farm in the AE days.

If it works, it works; I'd rather have dark embrace though, since it covers resistance holes from steamy mist while doing the same smashing/lethal as shark skin

Right now I'm looking into expensive builds, though not so expensive as to include pvp IOs. I hadn't thought about going into the fighting pool but the stacking resist does make sense. I'm wondering whether to slot steamy mist with resist or defense (to stack with Ninja's already decent defense).

I'm also doubting the usefulness of Thunder Clap. It's only a mag 2 stun and while it does stack with OG (I'm using both now, actually) I can't see the risk of hopping in and out of melee to stun mobs worth it. That's especially true if I'm going to be running hurricane a lot.

I believe the radius of thunderclap is the same as hurricane, so if you are planning on keeping hurricane up then it is probably quite useless for you.

Anyone else have any ideas or build tips on Ninja/Storm?
