Right click on the CoH shortcut on your desktop and select properties. Go to the Compatibility tab and make sure Run in compatibility mode is UNCHECKED and further down make sure Run as Administrator is CHECKED. See if that helps

Ok.. that worked..
I had compatibility checked, cause it saved it in the x86 folder. XD
It's gonna take me a while to figure out Win 7. :P

Hello,
I just recently installed Windows 7 with an Nvidia GTX260 (latest drivers), so I wanted to get CoH up and running.
The only problem is it takes too long to get anywhere. It takes half a minute to get to the log in screen (used to be 10 seconds or less), takes noticable time to go to character select, but when I do select one and start logging in, the load screen appears and the loading bar goes at a snails pace.
It never reaches even halfway (though the amount varies) but after a few minutes it just goes back to the account log in screen so I can only assume it timed out.
I'm not currently running a firewall atm (due to Zonealarm causing Warcraft to blue screen) so that can't be it. Not sure whats going on.
I also tried the registry change in that win 7 crash thread but it didn't do anything.
Any help would be appreciated.
