I have a willpower/war mace tanker instead of a brute. My experience is that the taunt aura in rise to the challenge is a little weak. In teams that need an aggro brute, you will have to taunt more. I think the mobs on the red side are tougher, like long bows and Arachnos. I guess you've to use strength of will more often. Maybe somebody else can give you better comments on willpower for villains.
My feeling about war mace is that it is a bit big and slow. It fits the theme of tankers pretty well. I don't know if it's just my perception, or the animation is indeed a bit slower. War mace doesn't look like the buzz-saw type. I like the set having a few aoe and pretty good secondary effects.
I played a ss/will brute and from rttc on it was real fun. I was tanking huge mobs and felt unstoppable.
Then I did ITF and failed badly, the roman javelins took me out all the time 
so he is retired now.
I understand you very good Twilight_Snow and i have a Tanker Shield Defense/War Mace and i have seen the set is good for a Tanker. As for a Brute i have a character concept and i will like to try it since is one that will be a Rogue when GR comes out. I have hear mixed comments when it comes to this but i always love to see different point of views.

I have saw comments before when it comes to Willpower against Cimerorans Traitors. My Inv/SS Brute which i have to respec her very soon, even with that i faced lvl 52 ones and i did not have a problem with them. Since i will be using Willpower in the brute side, i will be facing them and maybe it will be a very tough challenge.

Good I decided to start over with a invul/axe Tank for ITF and thanks to 2xp he 22 now can't wait to get back at those pesky romans.
I have never used Inv in the blue side but i know it is even better than in the red side

I will like to know some of the experience of players with War Mace/Willpower. I haven't seen them in large numbers but i know this build can be pretty strong in PvE. i Accept any suggestions from any level of experience. I will like the suggestions based for helping any kind of teams from small to big ones.
