DB/DA Brute or DB/DA Stalker...
Even though I have never had a brute high enough to test it, I'm not a fan of DA on brutes because all the control might make building fury harder, and DB is not a set with ultra fast animating attacks, thus won't help it that much.
However, this is pure theorycraft. You may or may not like the combos on Stalkers.
I suggest taking other people's opinions into consideration.
Kilgoth is correct. Here's my 2 cents
Dark armor
It's survivability(especially in larger mobs) relies heavily on its crowd control. That same crowd crowd control can make building up your fury a lot slower. If you are fine with that its a pretty good choice. The set itself really is pretty solid once you learn to manage your endurance, and that doesnt even mean intensive set slotting. Its got loads of resistance to psi, kickass heal, an aoe toggle, and even a stealth power for soloing. Once you invest sets into it it really takes a shine all its own too.
Dual Blades
Very nice set on brutes. Its relatively quick, good damage, easier on end than some other sets, and looks very flashy all the through. On stalkers, the combo system can really take a hit though. Unless you really beef up your accuracy I wouldnt recommend it for anything other than heavy theme/RP toons.

On brutes the mezz auras interfere with fury generation. You have to address the endurance issues in /DA quickly as any pauses to recover drain what fury you've built up from attacking.
Leviathan for brutes is full of cones, which puts you out of position for the auras and pbaoe heal that make up a great deal of /DA's mitigation.
On stalkers the auras have to be turned off initially or they attract attention while you're trying to get off an assassin's strike. Build Up + Assassin's Blades + Ablating Strike is the sweep combo, giving you an opening PBAoE knockdown right from level 8. While everything is getting up you can toggle on one of the mezz auras in safety.
Stalkers are designed around burst damage from a standing start, so taking time out for your endurance bar to recover isn't a problem.
Leviathan for stalkers comes with Hibernate; the tier 9 panic button that /DA is missing.
Hello All,
Since I'm leaning heavily towards a Brute, I'm posting this here instead of in the Stalker forum.
As the topic suggests, I'm looking for feedback on which is "better": DB/DA Brute or DB/DA Stalker?
For the character concept I have in mind, I'll be going the Leviathan Mastery route at the upper levels.
I look forward to reading any feedback on which AT would fit this power set combo "best".
