Help with Recipe Drops
drops are completely random, so theres nothing you can really do except keep trying and hope you get lucky, i now kinetic combat highest lvl is at 35, so any rolls that go up to the 30-35 section would have chance to drop it.
i need a few of these recipes on one of my melee toons and the best way is to save up to buy them or hope you get the right drop or roll
i would say try doing more AE for the tickets and roll all them on the lvl ranges which kinetic combat is in and you might get lucky.
The A/D and D/E are Pool A (enemy kills, Bronze/Silver rolls). The D/R is Pool B (Mission complete drops, Silver rolls) and the triple is Pool C (Gold/merit rolls).
If you don't know how, I'm afraid that there's not a whole lot of help I can give you. Running in the required levels may get you them; so will rolling merits or gold ticket rolls (for the dam/end/rech) or tickets (the dam/rech is a Silver, the acc/dam is only Bronze, the rest are Silver/Bronze) in the right levels.
Trying to roll tickets or merits until you get lucky is definitely drawing to an inside straight. But if you can bring yourself to sell the good recipes that drop for you, you might make enough inf to be able to afford the ones you need at the AH straight up. And if you'd rather craft and use than sell the good recipes, then you've got a bunch of good IOs.

Thanks everyone for the responses.
Heraclea, I am of the same opinion regarding the random rolls. It seems that the most straightforward way is to just buy the specific recipes with merits OR.... save up the cash to buy them at Wents. Neither way is very fast for a casual player, but you have at least made me feel better about this.
Bottom line... there really is not a trick, just the hard facts.
Thanks

Given that bronze rolls are relatively cheap, rolling bronze in the 30-35 range isn't all that bad a way to get the three that show up on bronze rolls if you've got a nice heap of tickets. Of course, that also probably makes them the cheapest to get at WW's.

The knockdown proc is historically cheapest. I usually settle for it, especially on a tanker: having one of these in all of your single target attacks is a fair amount of mitigation and control. The set itself is not particularly well balanced anyways, and is going to need to be supplemented with more accuracy, endurance reduction, and recharge. Slotting KC means losing some effectiveness as a tradeoff for the defense bonus. On a tanker, that's probably a better deal than for a brute or scrapper.

I agree with you Heraclea,
My plan for my WP and INV toons (as well as a guildmates melee-ers) is to 5-slot with 4 pieces of Kinetic combat and then an ACC/DMG from crushing impact. The damage becomes sufficient then, but the ACC is still a tad low at 40% (approx), global ACC should cover the rest of the ACC needs. If not then there is always yellow pills.
On all my toons, I currently run 5-pieces of Crushing impact for the decent sets bonuses (+rech, +ACC iirc) and will overwrite 4 of the 5 pieces all at once when I have 4 kinetic IOs ready to slot. This is proving to be the difficult part.

Bronze and Silver AE ticket rolls are probably your best bet. You'll have to roll a great heaping crapton of tickets to get them, but you WILL get them sooner or later.
Try to find some good AE arcs that actually have stories so you don't get bored to death farming tickets and you're good to go.

Direct merit purchases are a bad deal with a few rare exceptions; in most cases it's hard to beat the market as far as cost-effectiveness is concerned. Before wasting merits on direct purchases, check to see if you would spend fewer merits by buying a LotG 7.5, selling it, and buying the recipes you want off the market with the money.

There was a part of me (used to be anyway) that always thought folks were exaggerating when they would talk about their billion-inf builds.

Hello Tankers,
I have been helping outfit mine and other melee characters and have been having a serious dilemna for several months. Its called Kinetic Combat
I have tried Oro-arcs from 20-35 (ALOT). Architect Ticket random rolls (ALL types)
What is the trick to getting Kinetic Combats to drop ?
Any Help would be greatly appreciated. (Additionally, I have already scoured Paragon Wiki, so I understand the basics of how the recipes are awarded.) And finally, I understand a full set can be gotten by Merits, but we run TF infrequently.
Thanks in advance I figure if the Tankers dont know the secret, then I can lose faith hehe.
