Hi Guys hows it going?
I recently Rolled a Fire/SS tank, and wow im really loving it.
I've Been searching around the forums, and ive come to the conclusion that fire is a very expensive investment, one i am prepared to take. Ive set a 2B budget for this tank, and i think that it should be enough.

I have not however found a decent FIRE/SS Build on the tanker forums. It all seems to be Fire/Fire, and /Fire doesn't suit me for some odd reason. I thought i'd post a thread in case anyone out there had a fire/ss tank, and really knew a lot about them, and loved them as much as i am beginning to.

I'd Really appreciate it if some people would post their builds so i can get a feel as to what direction i need to start heading in order to make this tank a Beast that i know it can be.

The main reason i have this tank is to run friends and SG mates,
so a build optimal for running +2 or +3/8 Would be Great.

Thanks a lot guys and God Bless

I don't have my updated build handy but I will post it when I get home.

I find there are two schools of thought with Fire tanks.

The first is to max out your Recharge speed. For this you will be investing in Hasten as well as sets that net you a good recharge. I went this route and picked up several Purple sets over the years to augment Hasten.

The benefits of this is quicker recharge of Healing Flames and Consume as well as longer time with double stacked Rage. Double Stacked Rage+Fiery Embrace+any attack is a wonder to watch.

The second school is to invest heavily in +Def. I tried this a bit but never got a good build out of it, however several others here have and swear by it so I will leave that side of the coin open to them. If you can get a decent amount it is a good path to take.

Even without IO's fire can do well. For SO builds, and to a lesser extent IO builds, I would recommend both the Fighting and Leaping pools. Fighting will augment your resistances with Tough and if you choose to go the +def route Weave is essential.

Leaping will net you some more +def in Combat Jumping, Immob resist that is not tied to an attack, and Knockback protection in Acrobatics. You can get the KB resists without Acro by investing in IO's. Personally I have both a KB IO and Acro.
