Well I guess I will direct my questions to people other than Barrier now since my interest in learning about toons I dont know about seems to bother him lol.

I might be one of the few but I kinda look for black_barrier's replys. Might not be the kindest posts but there normaly helpful and to the point.

I have a lvl 50 sonic/cold, and it does fairly well in the zones. Slows are no longer that effective; however, the -rech is quite nice. And sonic hits hard. It's a fun to play from my perspective.

I thought this post was pretty damn specific, you want to know if this toon can be effective in pvp, and if the slows or -recharge work anymore correct? Don't let anyone discourage you from pvping, not all pvpers are like that.
I have a sonic/cold corr, here is my take.
Slows in PvP are worthless, period. -recharge is still very effective. Heat Loss + all of your other cold debuffs will murder recharge. This set covers nearly all debuffs tho it covers more than any other set. The major downside to this build is the lack of a self heal. However, vs melee this can be a very effective toon, even vs Regen scrappers. If you can survive the intial attack chain of ranged toons, you should kill be able to kill their cooldowns and kill them meanwhile. May take a bit of cash/concentration, but not a bad corr at all.
Compared to therm cold has a different goal, which is -rech while therm is -end. elec/therm is probably the most effective corr, but sonic/cold isnt gimp.
