Seeing as you did, I would be forced to assume: yes. But don't you dare assume the imitation is only one direction here.

Regardless, competition is good for both games. CoX now has to keep up with CO's innovations, and the reverse is true. Competition is the basis for capitalism, and it is the foundation for success.

Oh I have no delusions that CO isn't copying CoX as well. For instance I believe they are going to (if they haven't already) introduce a "mission difficulty adjustment" feature like ours.

This is why I laugh at people who are zealous diehards for one game or the other. Sure I like CoX a lot more than CO myself, but I realize that I'd much rather have a game like CO exist to motivate our Devs to innovate via competition than for them to get away with having the "Superhero MMO" monopoly again and stagnate.

You know, death isn't really a hardy har har subject.
On the contrary. Death is a VERY funny subject.

The fact that some people are completely terrified by (and unable to deal with) the IMPLICATIONS of death has nothing to do with whether or not the subject can be considered "comedy gold".

I agree with the red headed winged goth chick. Despite my aversion to anthropomorphic bat girls.

I lost my Granpa to cancer, and my Grandma to Alzheimers. I've lost friends to accidents that they neither deserved nor expected.

Death is still a damn funny subject. Might as well come to grips with it, we're all only here for a short time.

Watch the movie Burn After Reading. Death. Funny.

Listen to Dennis Leary. Death. Funny.

Yes, it can be tragic. But you can chose to dwell on it and be sorry for those who are gone, think fondly of the times you had while they were alive, or laugh at the ironic circumstances that resulted in a hilarious death.

My grandfather passed away just before Thanksgiving. Was already dying of lung cancer but died from complications due to a broken hip.

My one uncle noted with himself, me, and my brother in the room, that my grandfather still had more hair than any of us.

DAMMIT! >.<

Never said it wasn't painful too, as emotions aren't binary in their expression.

Heck, I even got a laugh on the way over to comfort my grandmother and mom as Michael Jackson's "Thriller" came on the radio.

Maybe I'm just sick and twisted. But I'd rather be able to laugh at something then become a complete, somber *** about it.

New Term:

Altzheimers (altz-hy-merz): A condition prevalent in games allowing multiple player avatars, where the player forgets how to play one or more of the particular avatars.

Example: "I'll just run in and grab aggro for the team. Wait, I'm on my blaster, OH CR*DEAD*"
