Stalker Guru's and experts, what do you think of the below build?
I just started this character, so I have ALOT of time to adjust the build, and save up the inf. however I believe it should be a fairly inexpensive build, just need the IOs to be available.

I think you're kind of short on attacks in lower levels. At higher levels, you might find your ability to defeat enemies a little on the slow side with only Swipe, Focus, Eviscerate and Shockwave as reliable attacks. Taking Strike or Slash (or both, if you want) can probably fill it out a little better.

Also, I think you should take either Combat Jumping or Maneuvers, but not both. With your build, even suppressed Hide should put you at the defense soft cap for S/L/E/Fire/Cold, and neither power really offers enough to significantly improve the defense of the other types (okay, maybe Negative).

Your build also costs a lot of endurance even before turning on Assault, so I'd say you could probably drop it if you keep Maneuvers.

Energy Protection seems like a wasted choice if you're only going to use it for a Steadfast Unique. I'd recommend moving a slot to Tough and putting the Steadfast piece there, and take something else at 30. Maybe Hurdle, since it looks like you've decided to either go Travel power-less, or you're going to rely on Ninja Run.

Pretty much, in my (somewhat limited) experience it's somewhat less reliable than softcapping melee/range/AoE as some debuffs have position tags but no damage tags (seeing as they do no damage) but in most situations they are equivalent.

Thanks, because I am rethinking of making my BS/Elec stalker to BS/EA or BS/SR. What do you think?

As was said, soft capping Melee/Ranged/AoE will reliably cover more attacks in the game. Many debuffs don't have a damage component to defend against. So it's hard to say one is like the other.

If you want the kind of reliability that soft capped Melee/Ranged/AoE can offer, then I suggest trying /Nin or /SR instead. /SR will be a cheaper build, will be pretty much immune to defense debuffs, and will reach soft capping more easily, but if you can soft cap a /Nin build, you've got a heal, psi resistance, and some other tricks, but much lower defense debuff resistance. Either one is a good choice, though.

Okay ill be honest. I have never been able to play a stalker past 14. Is the /SR just as easy to softcap as the brute/scrapper version? or is there a catch?

It's slightly easier, actually. Hide provides a small measure of defense on top of your other toggles/autos. The trade off is that you have no AoE defense until you get evasion (which has both the toggle and auto values rolled into one power) and you only get 66% of the scaling resists that scrappers/brutes do.
