Mass Effect 2
The heatclips are no big deal, I can't think of any enemy group that doesn't drop them as you fight them. I've only run out of them on a single weapon more than once. But then, I use my Tech powers and my teammates powers a lot more than my guns, except on bosses.
Each new crew member will suggest you add an upgrade for the Normandy, except a few that request special weapons or upgrades for themselves. The Med Bay Upgrade is not necessary unless you want to be a Renegrade, but don't want facial scars. I never took it because I always go Paragon anyway.
Got my rig back up, old drive is hosed. I have to start over. Luckily, I have my ME1 files on another PC, so I am installing both, going back and making a couple of changes and starting over.

How 'bout that. The guide says you can only flirt with Garrus, but he does indeed have a final romance scene, though it's very... "romantic drama". The flirting scenes with him are pretty funny, though. Tali's too.
Ya... it gave me the opportunity to say "We could work off some stress together." to Garrus and I went O_o and then o_O...
and then I didn't say that....
I believe I will finished my first run thru on this tomorrow. Then' I'll probably go back to Dragon Age to finish my Rogue, then I might try a second run thru.
Hmmm.... I was faithful to Kaidan... and I didn't mean to be.
I must've po'd Jacob at some point. He was the only one I was pursuing, but.. at the critical time... he didn't come to me.
I am sad.

Are we still talking about a video game, here ?

question. Before my HD crash, I had all but one crew member. I never got a dossier on that one either. So, could either of you give me a clue as to when you go after Legion?

Just finished, but didn't succeed in "no one left behind." Gonna take a break and try it again.
I sent Mordin into the shaft, and he took a shot to the face trying to close the doors. Everyone on the team is loyal, so... I'm a bit confused.
Ah, I sent Tali because I figured her tech skills would be better. Tried to think a little 'realistically' and either Tali or Legion would have been the best choices in my mind, as Mordin was more of a chemist/biologist than a tech person, eventhough he had some Tech powers.
Out of curiosity, for the upgrades and trinkets you can purchase - is there any way to get more casual outfits, or are you limited to the six or so you start with? I'm just wondering.

So I finally finished my first play through. I lost 2 member, Jack and Legion. I am guessing because they are not loyal. Legion took a shot to the face closing the door. I am not sure when Jack died. I repeated the last mission to make sure that I had my non loyal mambers with me, but Jack dropped the bubble so I lost Grunt I've got to figure out a way to keep them all alive. Most likely will do it on second play.

And... if Jack and Legion aren't loyal, send Tali into the shaft and use Samara for the bubble.
If you've got two who aren't loyal, you may never be able to get everyone through, but I KNOW you've got have loyal people in the critical roles.
Hmm, well i had everyone loyal aside from Miranda because well i sided with Jack. But i sent mordin though the shaft and he took a shot to the face. I also lost grunt in the end as well. Very sad. though i suppose theres a reason for a second play through.
I forgot to mention i didn't upgrade Mordins omni tool or Grunts shields which may have been a contributing factor. My Paragon status wasn't maxed out either. Some times you just gotta hit a ***** in the face with your elbow.

I had all of my crew loyal, sent Legion into the shaft, had Samara bubble for me, had a full paragon bar, and sent Jacob back w/ the crew. I took Grunt and Thane on the last part, and everyone came out alive. Don't know if this helps anyone, but it's my two cents on the matter.
Who you side w/ has no bearing on loyalty, based on my experience.

I THINK it might have to do with having a high enough paragon/renegade score to get an appropriate persuade/intimidate option, but I don't recall.
But, yes, you CAN lose loyalty that way.
Yeah my paragon status wasn't high enough. I'm thinking on my 3rd go round i'm gunna "cheat"..no yeah i'm really gunna cheat and max out my paragon status and give myself a ton of money in ME1 and then transfer that guy over to 2.

There is a point that Miranda and Jack have an argument and you're called to make a choice. I know I was able to avoid losing loyalty, but I don't recall what you have to do.

Alright, so I'm now the proud owner of ME2, and my only real complaint is the damned heat clips. Is the planet scanning annoying? Sure. Do I miss my old assault rifle that NEVER ran outta ammo? Like a double amputee misses his legs. How is this an upgrade? Did people have that much trouble w/ thier weapons overheating in ME? Not that I have any trouble running out of ammo, but for the clips to be neccessary for my weapon to function?? As a man far wiser than I once said, "WTF!?" Whew! I feel better now that I've got that outta my system.
Does anyone know if there are more upgrades for the Normandy, aside from the initial weapon/armor/scanner/med bay? Got all of them before I left the first planetary system. Maybe they'll make that up to me in character weapon/armor....
