We have been ingame on and off for a long time.
We bought the original COH game and was one of the lucky ones that were given the V side as well.
I had never attempted the MA side of the game as I thought we had to buy the patch but today, I tried to just play the MA missions with sucess and have created one myself.
Is that another give me or do I need to get the MA patch to unlock it all?

Nope, you don't have to buy any additional products or packages to use the Mission Architect. Just for subscribing to the game, you can publish up to 3 story arcs, each of which can be up to 100K in size and have up to five missions.

There are several enemy groups, maps, and costume pieces you can unlock for your arcs by playing published MA arcs and spending the reward tickets dropped within, but these don't (and can't) require purchase with actual money.

The only Mission Architect add-on you can actually purchase with real money is extra publishing slots, giving you the option to publish up to 8 arcs if you want to spend the cash. Alternately, if your arcs become very popular with other players or the developers, your arcs can become marked as "Hall of Fame" or "Developer's Choice," and you get that publishing slot back to post another arc as a reward.

There are several guides with tips and tricks to make your missions more fun and accessible to your fellow players in this section, so please read through them as you have time. If you have any questions afterwards, feel free to ask, and someone will assuredly be happy to answer.

Main Villain: Evil Gulzow-Man (Victory) 50, 1193 Badges

Thanks Chad, I was waiting on some green to get this as an upgrade not knowing it could be done without buying anything.

Also, take a look at all the related pages here:

http://wiki.cohtitan.com/wiki/Mission_Architect

That site has an embarrassment of riches when it comes to MA info and will probably answer a good 80 to 90% of any question you may have.
