So I am creating my first brute. I wanted to start off with a brute I knew would be good at farming, on blue side I have a ElecM/SD Scrapper and love him he is a great farmer so I know a little bit about SD. I also wanted a way to start making income on red side and I both have heard and figured out that SD and SS would go great together for farming.

I was hoping you guys would be willing to give me feed back on the build as I have never played a brute before.

Please be brutal, I think this is at least a decent build pretty good recharge, Foot stomp up every 8 seconds without hasten and when hasten is on every 6 seconds (from my understanding foot stomp is the primary AoE dmg output of an SS/SD other than of course shield charge)

Also, if you guys could suggest a way to make a cheaper build to start off with (with at least ranged and melee soft capped) that preferably won't cost an initial billion or two like im expecting that build too please do as I do not have any fund available on red side currently.

Overall, the build is really isn't bad, but there are some things that could be improved upon.

1) The first thing that popped out at me is Taunt. IMHO, there's really no reason to take it, especially as a farmer.
2) I personally dislike Elec. Fences, especially when mixed with footstomp, as it removes all of the damage mitigation that SS/ provides. But that's just me, YMMV
3) Also, you were sporting a hefty end usage (over 1 end/sec) with only minor recovery in comparison.
4) Although this isn't really a problem, this build does look fairly expensive, especially for someone new to redside. I have no idea how you are going to come up with the inf for all of those LoTGs and uniques. But I guess you have some way of getting them....... I won't judge you, don't worry.

Thank you very much for the reply!

Do you have any suggestions on how I can get a decent cheaper build?

If I were to get a cheaper build the things I would like if possible are softcapped at least melee preferably melee and ranged, at least perma-rage. I think that would offer a pretty good farming build to save up for the big build.

If you can help me with that thank you in advanced! I have never been good at designing good cheap builds in mids >.>

A cheap SS/WP:
-No BoTZ recipes
-No Obliterations
-No LOTG
-No Numinas
-No Performance Shifter Proc

Expensive items:
-3 Touch of Death Sets will cost you some coin, but not terrribly as much
-I think the Gaussian's Rech/End tends to be a bit pricey. At least one of those is.

Features:
-30 second Shield Charge w/o hasten
-Perma pez prot w/o hasten
-Softcapped to all 3 positions
-3 effective AoE attacks in Shield Charge, Footstomp, and Dark Obliteration
-3 unassigned slots for personal taste.
-Excellent accuracy w/o rage.
-Flexibility for future upgrade. Cheap IO's sets from Red Fortune, Detonation, and generics can be scrapped during the respec without serious loss. Other sets are typical of high-end builds (like gaussian's and touch of death)

That looks like a pretty good budget build and would be fairly simple for me to upgrade. I am guessing that that build should cost a couple 100mil rather than a couple billion correct?

Patient buying on the BM should get most of this up for around 300-400 million, including crafting costs. A quick check at the market should give you an idea about overall costs. I do know that some of the Touch of Deaths have dropped in price due to recipe rolls, though expect to shell out around 20 mil for the 2-3 expensive ones. Still not too painful.

There is one recipe in Gaussian's that can be expensive - and easily cornered on the market. I remember someone cornering that recipe and seeing it spike to 100 mil. Unfortunately, when I was offloading my gaussian's at the time, I only got 80 before the full spike hit.
