Building an ele/stone

First,let me say i never really rolled an /stone for my second power, it alway seem to slow for my style of play.That said now i want to roll one as my "farm money maker". What i want to know is, what power are must have,and play style suggestions when rolling an stone.Do i need hasten,teleport or both.just trying to get an feel to see what im up against. Another thing how much infamy am i going to need to put in him ? he should already be pretty strong see hes an stone.

I wouldn't roll /stone unless you had a guarenteed kin following you while farming. For farming solo I'd recommend a elec/sd or ss/elec or some combination of those. I'm sure there are some other great builds but those are the only 2 I have experience with farming. /stone is best described as "slow and steady" and by far the greatest for surviving but IMO the drawbacks of granite are not worth it seeing as how you can farm a lot faster with a different build. Having said that if you are set on wanting a /stone farmer a kin is a must unless you want to go for a lot of +rech bonus and that requires a good amount of cash. To answer some of your questions, yes you will need hasten and teleport (a good shift+click bind helps teleport become easily usable). Once you get 38 you won't really need other powers because granite will be enough in combination with EE. Mudpots is obviously a must have because of the more aoe dmg and -slow component.

Yup, pretty much what KM said. Way back when I used an elec/stone as my main farmer, but almost exclusively with a kin. I just wasn't happy with the damage and speed of farming compared to that of my ss/wp. I did enjoy it, but would advise against it as a main farmer. Also, it does cost a good amount of inf to become usable, aiming for damage and recharge. You'd be better off investing in a SS/SD, Elec/SD, or SS/Fire. A good, cheap farmer that I still use to this day is a SS/WP. If you need a cheap build for that, I'd be more than happy to post mine.

If you do have your heart set on a elec/stone, then just follow what KM said.

It depends on what you want out of your Stone. If you're looking to negate the penalties of stone, you're looking at recharge and runspeed sets, and probably some defense sets scattered in as well to round out your defenses. As for a price tag on that, I'll put my mace/stone build at about 2 billion on today's market easily. (just lots of very expensive rares and hamis). But, I wanted a stone brute that didn't need a kin.

With all that said, stone is not the ideal choice. If you're spending that much inf to deal with the negative penalties while other sets can survive and benefit even more from that same investment, it just isn't practical.

Stone Armor is cool, incredibly tough, and incredibly expensive if you want to trick it out. If you don't, find a friendly kin.

Thanks all,on second thought ill stay with my ss/wp hes strong as they come,if you let me tell the story lol.i just notices alot of stone out there and i never rolled one.you guys made me see it a little differrent. think ill going to see how an fire/sr roll instead,Of course it being def i think once it get hit it might be over for him ill see. thanks again
