Kat/Regen help

Any suggestions for a new Lvl 50 Kat/Regen w/ a budget of about 200-300 million?

I know there are some questionable power choices in there but it's a mix of theme and playability.

This is how I'd build mine, I wouldn't bother taking Energy Torrent and I'd pick up the Fighting Pool.

Am I making a mistake in any way by taking SOTW instead of Flashing Steel? I find myself moving from one target to the next more often than I find myself slashing at a group so it seemed to make sense to me. Plus, it will help fill in the chain while I'm at such a low lvl of recharge.

Of course, I will be starting off with GC...don't want to start the GC vs. SOTW debate again. heh

If you find yourself fighting single targets than slashing at a group, then no, I don't think it's a mistake. My Katana/Dark has Sting of the Wasp and does not have Flashing Steel.

I personally prefer Flashing Steel b/c I like fighting big mobs, mostly on teams. Since I am generally on teams (or even farms, gasp!) I find the AoE attacks help more than the ST attacks. Then again, it can be just as useful to be able to quickly take down bosses. It all just depends on your personal playstyle.

Cool...thanks for the advice guys.

Next question - Given my limited influence, would there be any benefit to dropping Focused Accuracy and moving the full set of GSFC's to Build Up instead? That would leave one power slot open and I guess I could take Converve Power but with my QR and Stamina slotted the way it is, I doubt I'll ever need CP on this build.

Of course, if I was soloing AV's and things like that, I would want CP. I have the same slotting for Stamina and QR on 2 of my lvl 50 /WP toons and they both have CP...which I never ever have to use. Any suggestions?

I would stick with FA.

You are likely never going to need FA in the course of normal gameplay, but at the same time GSFC doesn't have great recharge values so it's not wonderful in Build Up. I'd probably keep FA as a set bonus mule.
