What's the origin?

Magic, right now.
But if somebody has a bio that really works well with a different origin; I would consider changing it to suite that bio.
(And the influence reward might be more than that --> depends how much I make this week.)

I wasn't always a bad guy, I had plans, big plans to join the Longbow. When I was little I heard so much about them. My parents were part of Longbow and told me so much about the heroics they performed on a daily basis. My parents were great wizard who could control the elements, they were so strong they were named after Greek gods. Soon I was being trained how to control the substance of fire. I was so excited, I knew I was going to be in the blaster training program soon. Until one day...
Peter Themari was his name. He came up to me, said he was a Longbow representative. That he had a test that I had to take before I could be initiated as a hero. He slipped me into a Longbow base and told me to concentrate all the fire I could at the targets. What he didn't tell me that he had put targets in front of a chamber that stored nuclear materials. The next thing I know I'm waking up in the hospital surrounded and handcuffed to my bed. They keep questioning me, asking why I attacked the base. Did I do that? No, of course I wouldn't! I could see the disappointment in my parent's eyes. They don't believe me.
That night, Themari came to me again, he told me that they didn't understand it was an accident. He understood, he said he could take me to a place where I would be better understood and hone my powers to their true extent without being punished. When he freed me I noticed the guards dead on the floor. The color in my face drained a bit but then I remembered how they reacted to me earlier. I think something died a little bit inside of me, I knew I should be upset that they were dead but I wasn't. Soon I was in the Rogue Isles. He dropped me off in Mercy Islands and told me that survival of the fittest was the best way to hone your powers. Go and show them how much you've learned.
Much to my surprise I found the radiation that had infected my body had also effected my magic. Soon I took up the mantle of Aither, maybe someway of keeping a bit of my past with me. Maybe as a way to mock my parents who scorned me, I'm not really sure. But soon I'd show them how much I had learned. Survival of the fittest? Sounds fair to me.
(A very rough draft)

I assume you want a bio that fits the in-game character limit?

To everyone who missed out on my Xmas generosity (several 100 million influence gifts during the holidays), here's your shot at some more loot:
I just started a Fire/Rad corruptor named Aither.
The name, depending on your etymology, means "bright, upper air" or "to light and/or to burn".
It is the name of a primordial Greek God in mythology (and where we get the terms ether and aether from).
-------
So here's the contest:
I need a good bio for him, and I am just mentally tapped out right now.
So, anyone who writes the bio I choose for him can choose from one of two things as a prize:
1) A reward of 50 million influence
OR
2) They can choose a name from this list to keep:
a) Shadow Warlock
b) Shadow Phoenix
b) Grey Widow
c) Star Gate
d) Wushu
Entries can be posted here or PM'd to me. If there's no interest; I'll just have to think one up myself. ; )
