I don't know if it was a sense of entitlement really. I think people just genuinely want to see their character interpreted through the eyes of a talented artist. We love our characters and the very idea that someone with your talent *might* render them in some fresh new way is extremely exciting.
Naturally those of us who didn't make the 50 or so that were done still cling to the hope that you might find time and/or inclination to do more. With each new drawing you posted we would edge forward on our seats... "What if mine is next?" followed almost immediately by "I HOPE mine is next!!"
I guess I can't speak for anyone else, but I know that those were my thoughts throughout. I appreciated each new picture and hoped Dj would catch your artistic fancy. I never felt that YOU owed me anything.
