SD cascading defense failures

Ain't it a thing of beauty? But I find my Claws/SR just as strong, only because he is sitting at around 400% regen with around 1900 HP and shockwave every 4 seconds...

Ha, ya. We've seen your beast of a claws/sr. No doubt about it, a claws/sr has more survivability in most situations with the pant-wetting glory that is shockwave. But then again, killing everything around you with a shield charge/fsc/fireball works too, lol.

Man, I wish we could make a scrapper picking powers from any scrapper pools we wanted... oh mama...

I love circles, they're probably my favorite all around shape...

But yeah, my kat/wp is one of my favorite toons. Once you juice it up you wont have any problems with most 53's. I just let da cap melee, capped the rest with io's and powers, and the ridiculous regen, resists and recovery are icing. I had to try the combo when somebody was posting about surviving ghost widows hold by popping sow.

Thanks everyone who chimed in. I got the fm/sd to 50 and it feels even stronger than it did a couple levels ago. Think I need to try electric next, and octagons...

Elm/SD (if that's what you're thinking bout tryin) Is freakin sweet as heck. He's my most enjoyable toon 1-50, with the new difficulty slider it was an amazing ride. You're AoE Burst to start off a fight more then compensates for the "lack" of ST dmg. Once I get my Recharge bonuses up mine will be even better because then I will have BU for each LR/SC.

53's shouldn't be a problem once I hit 50. Currently sitting at 47 and doing a Werner style RWZ challenge (+6 RWZ challenge). 2 for 6 so far but could probably increase the success rate once I could get purples slotted in. Just taking me like 20+ minutes to finish off the spawn, wonder how long it took Werner to do his. I did manage to record 1 succes try on it, now to try to find a down time to upload 2.2 gig of video ...

2 for 6 is better than me for sure. I think it was ten or fifteen runs before I had a success. Now, in an EARLIER issue of the game, I was successful on my first and only run at +6, but that must have been before the last of the Regen nerfs or something, or I got really really lucky. I know it was before they dropped redraw time from Katana. As for how long it took, I can't remember. Probably fifteen or twenty minutes or more. I could theoretically play the demorecord for myself and time it, but I don't care enough.

(Edit: Wait, I think the "nerf" that caused me such trouble trying to replicate my earlier result was them making the Gaussian proc unique. I think I had four full sets of Gaussians. So my I12 run was with significantly lowered defense.)
