Gamepad binds help

Well, I got a gamepad that's not getting any use, and ninja run got me a new form of platforming-esque travel.
So now, I am getting really involved with how my characters getting around, so, I was wondering what anybody thought about making "travel mode" controls for a game controller

My option is the standard "Playstation wannabe" type of controller(seriously, on the box it lists "familiar layout" as a feature). I'm trying to come up with standardized controll systems for
Flying
Teleporting
Ninja Running
Super Jumping
don't use super speed much yet, but a suggestion for it would be nice too.
My major plan would be the option to press a button on the controller to switch from "Travel mode" to "normal/combat mode" with a bindload slash command combo.

Anyone Who wants to argue about my usual foolishness can find me here.

I thought about, but quickly dismissed this idea.

I don't know how you'd do tp, but fly I'd use standard controls on the left stick and the X as gas, circle [Or whatever the one to the left is] as brake/reverse. Same for running, and using R1 and L1 as strafe.

I have an adapter to plug a normal ps2 controller into the pc. They're cheap and work well, but I never use it. I also have a Wolfking Warrior which I have used a total of 2 minutes, though I'm about to load up the new independantly made drivers/software for my old Belkin Nostromo n50, which I always liked but was abandoned by Belkin when Vista came out. Vista could see it, but their software couldn't. But then again, I have a Logitec G11 in the mail right now.

I use W and mouse for all movement. Tp gets the hold down Alt+Lbutton. I can't imagine a smoother way to navigate.

I have used a "playstation" type control pad for over 4 years now. If you click the menu button then options, under "keymapping" you can click on forward, backwards, left, right, strafe left, strafe right. after any one of those are selected move the control (i use the analogs) to bind that function to your game pad. Now another thing i use is the look up and look down to my right analog stick, forward on that side for look up, and backwards on that side for look down. This provides excellent control for your charachters. All thats left is to activate the travel you have chosen. Make sure to "apply now" then "save file". After that the rest of the characters you make should have those settings upon creation, if not, load file. Enjoy!
