Endgame Advice

I've been wanting to find ways to improve my level 50 Master Mind for PvP and PvE encounters alike. To be frank...my original Master Mind is the only character I can seem to stay on for any real length of time. I really enjoy this character and was hoping people could give me advice on what to do now that I'm at the big Five-Oh.

Step 1 would be to get all the Accolades with Stat Buffs, or handy powers, if you haven't already.

The end game is what you chose to make of it. In Lithid's case this apparently includes running PvE content with a possibly exemplared level 50 and PvPing. For others the end game consists of rolling a new character. Yes this game does lack the end game raid progression of a game like WoW but I'm fed up with the claims that there is nothing to do as a level 50.

Oh trust me, if I was looking for WoW I'd be there. Yuck. I just really enjoy my MM and am looking for ways to continue playing with him and develop the character. I don't really need raids but more or less exactly that - ways to improve. I wanna look into the Vanguard and task force merit stuff and see if that helps. I'm also dabbling in a Villain Group now that I'm done levelling and helping lowbies out lots.

Some great advice here. I took GW for more control. I use group flying to keep my minions in range of my enemies. Leadership would be a smart idea though to buff them some more. I use tar patch every chance I can get but have never tried teleport. Maybe I should use that alternate build I have? :P

I think Group Fly has a large -ACC component.

Seconded for getting all the accolade powers. They work at any level once you've got them.

www.paragonwiki.com is a great source of information for this game.

Same here. All I do is play my stable of 50s, and I dig the hell out of it.

Everyone plays differently, and that's great, but I'm so sick of people saying that there's nothing to do once you hit 50 (in fact, there are whole threads here devoted to the subject if I'm not mistaken).

I'm sure there are things to do at level 50. I remember being in my mid 30's and seeing them flying all over the place, here and there. For what, I never was quite sure. Lately I've just been participating in Halloween events. They're fun! And that's the point to playing my main 50 - he's more fun than any of the others I play. What do you find yourself doing?

The debuff is actually pretty negligible considering how I've got my undead slotted. After being upgraded they're also offset by the enchantment bonus. Based on many tests that I've put those poor suckers through I'm finding that they still perform well airborne. Personally - I think this is what group fly was made for, other than simple amusement of course.

That's not what I'm saying.

What I'm saying is that there's nothing you can do as a level 50 that you can't do as a level 49. There're purples, but they aren't an activity. None of the content specifically requires a level 50 player; the bulk of the content can be accessed at 30, and practically everything can be accessed at 45.

So yes, it's a somewhat open-ended game, you can continue to play it at 50. That's not the same thing as having an endgame, which would be a piece of the game that's limited to players who have achieved the max level and which provides some form of character advancement that isn't based on increasing your level. Even the CoX equivalent of 'raids' is just a string of normal missions that you have to complete in sequence, with minor exceptions like the last mission of LRSF.

There's nothing to do at 50 that feels 'epic' or puts the 'super' in superhero. It's the same stuff you've been doing for 49 levels with a different group of enemies.

You are correct there is very little new to do at level 50, and SSK makes it even easier to do more content at a lower level. However I think you have a very narrow definition of end game content. Personally I would consider any of the TFs with a level range of 45-50 + Hamidon to all be "end game content". I don't think that end game content is required to involve character progression and therefore no reason to restrict end game content to level capped players.

Yes some new high level content would be nice, but I don't feel that character progression is a requirement for content to be considered "end game".
