SUGGESTION: Delayed MotD channel messages

The Message of the Day (MotD) that channel moderators can set can be something silly, something important, or something just not interesting to the majority of the players in the game. Yet, it's often overlooked when I first login and text starts scrolling by.

I'm sure I am not the only person who skips past the MoTD. Yes, I know I could scroll up, or I could (and I do) have a separate window set up for chat channels I'm on to make the messages more visible.

What I am suggesting is that there be short delay from when a person first logs in and the channel MotD displays in the window. Perhaps it would be easier to make it some global setting so it displays 5 or 10 seconds later. Ideally, it could be a flag that a channel moderator could set as a value somewhere between 1 and 60 seconds.

The current command to set the MotD for a global channel is this:

/chan_motd channel message

So you could type something like:

/chan_motd Mychannel Hello World.

A proposed change would be something like this:

/chan_motd Mychannel 30 Hello World.

So after 30 seconds, the MotD for Mychannel would display "Hello World." in the channel window.

I'm not saying this is a "gotta have it" feature, but I think it would help make a channel's MotD more visible. =)

I predict most channels setting it to the maximum value to give their message greater visibility, which results in exactly the same problem - except now it might interfere with an actual conversation, rather than being something that is over and done with immediately upon login.
