Yeah, you'll need to do something that makes it cost something.
It's a really annoying bug, but since Arachnos costumes dont cost anything to change the cost, it doesn't register as a costume change.
This is PARTICULARLY annoying when the damn thing reverts on its lonesome. It also tends to change your weapons options in alternate costume slots, even the Crab backpack, often resulting in horrible costume costs for simple changes.
/bug it and maybe let Arbiter Kim know.

I'm having the same issue with the Wolf Spider breastplate (the 'shoulders' option). Both pieces are just gone. I've tried toggling SG mode (just in case it was an issue with the SG symbol), switching from one breastplate to the other, and even switching to Bane Armor and back; none of it works.
The cape going missing... it definitely sounds annoying. Losing the whole breastplate, however, makes the Soldier costume look completely awful.
I don't know if this is a bug, or if it's just something I've never heard reported.
I started a wolf spider and gave him the "wolf" cape on the special slot 1 costume. He's now 41, and has some of the bane powers. And... he no longer has the wolf cape. I can still choose the wolf cape at the tailor, but it doesn't cost anything and doesn't give him the cape when I exit.
He's got 2 builds. One is a "huntsman" build, with wolf attacks and defenses, bane defenses, and buildup. One is a "bane melee" build, with bane attacks and defenses.
I'm not sure at what point the cape went away. It seems to me I still had my cape after the L24 respec. I know I tweaked the appearance of the mace specially on each costume after I added the bane melee build. And I noticed the missing cape sometime after that.
I know that if you pick any crab powers, you're stuck with the crab backpack on all your builds. But I've never heard of losing costume options for choosing bane powers.
Any ideas?
