Also, does anyone remember that if you had the old Faultline beacon, you could tp to the old Faultline, and it'd load the zone and you'd be there for like half a second, then it'd load the new zone?

I've had this happen. Logged out in a store, then when I logged back the game likes to enter you into the room from a convienient door. Problem was, this door was behind a counter... and there was no way to for a Player to Cross over the counter. Used a wentworth port to get out. I suspect this happens somewhat regularly due to the random nature of they way they have you enter the game from a door.
