You can use any travel power you want. It doesn't matter because the travel powers take Blessing which is a movement set.

If you 3 slot your toggles and and passives from SR, and 3 slot Weave, and add the Steadfast unique into Tough, you will be about 39% defense to all positions. That leaves you only about 6% to get from sets.
To get 6% melee def, 6% ranged def, and 6% aoe def isn't too hard and you should have plenty of options to get those.

CJ is a nice little bit of defense but not needed. A lot of people like it as it's a nice spot to slot for some bonuses. With enough recharge bonuses and Quickness you probably won't need Hasten unless you are aiming for a perma Hasten build.

How would you soft cap defense on a budget of 70M?
Slotting 3 defense IOs in each of the 6 /SR defense powers gives 30.7%.
Adding weave with 3-slotted defense adds another 5.9% bringing total to 36.6%.
Adding CJ with 3-slotted defense gives another 2.95%, total is now 39.6%.
Now to spend some influence: 70M would probably cover Steadfast and Gaussians.
Steadfast 3%, total now 42.6%.
Gaussians 2.5% in FA, total now 45.1%.
So it's doable. Not sure if 70M would cover the set IOs and all the normal IOs used in the rest of the build because salvage costs are all over the place at times.

Well I just hope I don't have to spend more than 150ish mil on my claws/sr for softcaps, since I have a crazy second build idea that's gonna cost me a ton, but I want the softcapped while I work my way to the second build.
The 40-70 I said were numbers I saw on the forums, thx for pointing out what I can expect for costs though

Hi all
I'm wondering about a specific build - I see all these softcapped claws/sr builds, I've read you can get the build slotted for 40-70 mil, but is it possible to get the build with SS instead of SJ?
Would any of you be so kind to post a build with either hasten + SS or if it's even doable with hasten+CJ+SJ (no SS in this case)
One thingy: I'm on a mac so the copy paste into mid's doesn't work for me at the moment.
