First off, here is my current build that has me mostly at the softcap (AoE defense is less than 1% from the cap when in combat)

The character performs very well, and tearing through 8-man spawns is great fun, except that I start to run out of endurance a little earlier than I would like to. I use Conserve Power when it is available and I need it, but during the downtime I find myself needing to get/have a blue or two to keep going.

Now I know that I don't need to be constantly moving forward, it's not like I have decaying Fury to worry about, but it would be nicer. My main question is whether I should switch Conserve Power for Physical Perfection (2 End Mod, 1 Heal). Obviously Physical Perfection isn't as useful, after, say and Elude crash (if I ever use it), but I'm hoping it is more useful normally. Does anybody have experience with this power? How much does it impact Recovery and Regen?

Secondarily, looking into getting IOs for the Defense powers in my build I can see two routes to go: Gift of the Ancients, and Luck of the Gambler. The Ancients can give me a better recovery (although not by much) to help with the above described problem (that may be fixed by other means). LotG gives me more Health, Regen and Recharge (ideally). So assuming cost isn't the issue (I'm aware this will take me a long time probably) which set would be better?

Lastly, Eviscerate or Spin? Simple as that, which do you find is better or more useful.

Thanks for the advice

Well I don't know which one would be better...but lookings at your build why not both? You are almost at the soft cap and you really don't need elude. So I say drop it and pick up physical perfection. With PP and CP you should have a lot better end.

Now after looking at your build You don't have a lot of Endurance reduction in your attacks. Attacking non-stop will take more Endurance then your toggle could ever. So puts so Endurance reduction in Shockwave and Follow up. Now with follow up if you slot it more like an attack then mobs will die fast which will save on end too.

Also if you want to get more recovery you can always put Numina's +regen/+recovery and Miracle +recovery in your build but it will take some Inf to do so.

I like Spin better I'm not a big fan of Eviscerate and Spin does crazy damage for an AoE

The defense softcap is where you've reached 45% defense. At this point, any attack from an enemy that isn't 5 levels above you or have some form of ToHit will have their chance to hit at the minimum (which differs from the con of your enemy - minions have a 5% chance to hit you when at the softcap, for example). It's possible to reach more defense (with the Scrapper defense cap at 200.38%), but unless the two requirements mentioned above are taking effect or you're being hit by defense debuffs, Elude is practically useless.

Use PP as a proc mule. Slot it with the +Recovery, +Regen/Recov (rather than slotting the two into Health) and the Perf Shift proc. Seeing as the Perf Shift proc isn't unique, slot another into Stamina.

You've slotted no end reduction into Shockwave. Seeing as it's cast time is 1 second/ACT is 1.056 seconds and the endurance cost is 11.6, regular use of this will eat up your end. Once again, no end reduction in Follow Up! This is Claws'/ main damage source and you're going to be using it regularly for double-stacking.

I prefer Spin over Eviscerate. Putting aside the awkward positioning, Spin has a slightly larger radius and can hit up to twice as many targets (10>5).

Someone will probably post an updated build for you, but for them, what's your budget?

Budget? Well, I don't really care that much honestly. I don't have very much in the way of liquid funds, but I don't have a problem taking a while to get what I want through merits and influence and (hopefully) lucky drops. Yeah, End Redux in Shockwave is a good idea, probably should have done that instead of the Range.

Thanks for the advice.

Another vote for Spin.

Steal a slot each from Quickness and Swift and put them in Follow Up to slot it out. Frankenslot it with as many triples as possible to get Acc/Dmg/EndRdx/Rech/ToHit. For example:

Level 8: Follow Up -- AdjTgt-ToHit/EndRdx/Rchg:40(A), C'ngImp-Dmg/EndRdx/Rchg:40(9), Mako-Acc/Dmg/EndRdx/Rchg:40(9), T'Death-Acc/Dmg/EndRdx:40(11), C'ngImp-Acc/Dmg:50(25), T'Death-Dmg/EndRdx/Rchg:40(39)

For end troubles you can slot Gift of the Ancients in your defense toggles. Four in each times three gets you 5.4 extra max end and extra recovery as well.

Here's a build incorporating many of the suggestions in the thread with minimal changes in assigned slots per power (moved slots from swift, practiced brawler, stealth and quickness) and changed out conserve power for physical perfection.

Other things you could do would be swap around GotA and LotG sets so GotA is the 4 slotted one and LotG gets the 2 slots. Could tweak more to drop Elude but would need the +defense from the BotZ sets there replaced. In its place go for more recharge with Hasten. Personally I'm growing to like keeping Elude on one of my builds (and using it as a BotZ or other set mule) in case I find myself in an AE mission with custom foes using things like BU and Aim which can rapidly get painful without the added boost to defense from Elude.

I like the original build for economy and not needing the fighting pool. Building from there, you can improve endurance by using the +recovery uniques to slot in health (Miracle and Numina's). I'd also pick up a performance shifter proc to put in stamina.

Eventually as you gain more influence you can 4 slot luck of the gambler's in your toggle defenses and pick up some good set bonuses (+regen, +accuracy, and +recharge.)

I gotta make pain. I gotta make things right. I gotta stop what's comin'. 'Least I gotta try.
