Well, since all the other Artful Dodgers are being LAZY or too busy with work or something, I think I should make a word or two about what this crazy band of angst machines has brought me.

It started simply enough, when I noticed that JB HI-FI (a rather large store that we Aussies have) happened to have time cards that could be used for City of Heroes. Seeing as I'd had to quit some time ago when I couldn't find any more time cards, I immdiately jumped on this opportunity, since I had fond memories of back in the day when city of villians required an additional purchase. Good times, good times.

Anyway, I begin playing again and I realise, 'hey, this was way more fun when there were other people with me,' given that I was mostly soloing with an MA/SR scrapper a few levels before they get truely awesome and the sg I was in either fell apart, or they kicked me for being inactive. Thus, my search for a new sg was on.

I searched...

And I searched...

And I searched some more...

Until, by chance, I stumbled upon a character who belonged to The Artful Dodgers on virtueverse. A few clicks later and bam! I was in an sg with crazy fun people. It seemed like every time I logged on, someone was there, ready to lend a hand.

Soon enough, I created an alt to go in with them...and another...and another...and some more. There's just that much creative energy in the room! Never a dull moment either, for that matter.

So, Artful Dodgers, as a guy you assimilated on the other side of the world, I say, HAPPY THIRD ANNIVERSARY!

P.S: does anyone have some steel cable that we can use to somehow tie Quiet American to a chair so that he'll log the heck on?

Okay, okay! The guilt (or perhaps just affront at having my laziness pointed out to me) has succeeded!

A belated birthday to the Artful Dodgers, who have introduced me to Juvie, Stripling, Casval, Starlight, Fallen, Richie, Jessie, Kid Whip, and many more who I am am happy to call my friends. Yes, I know we've never met in person. You're still my friends. Anyone who make me happy that often must be a friend, right?

I'm very proud to be with you, and here's lookin' forward to another year. *raises glass of non-alcoholic drink because there's NO ALCOHOL ALLOWED IN OUR BASE. It's a RULE*

Yay! We can has birthday!

I gotta admit, when I finally tried this game, I didn't really expect alot. Truth be told, I was expecting nothing more than another way to talk to Stripling other than emails and phone calls, but MAN was I surprised!

I wandered a bit, hanging out mostly over on Guardian, but jumped to Virtue when Strip asked if I felt up to making a Dodger. A few days later, a bit of brainstorming, and Ramblejack was born. Following in his irradiated footsteps, of course, came a slew of alts, each and every of them slanted to either be a dodger-friend, a background support toon for whatever crazy idea we came up with that needed a body, or a Dodger themselves.

Now, I can't imagine a day without logging on, and enjoy each and every nuance of fun I can squeeze out of my poor overworked laptop. Glad I tied on with the lot of ya, and look forward to another wild year!

Lets see, Birthday Speech:

I've been part of the Dodgers for about two and a half years, I can safely say that I've been ingrained into the society that we've built up around each other and that I often think about the Dodgers at least once or twice a day even if I don't have the time to log in every single day. I guess there have been enough stories about how the Dodgers changed our lives, but its really quite like that. We may be small but we're very tight knit, we're committed to making every one of our characters the star of their stories as well as making our own characters the stars.

I've been at this too long to really remember why I got involved so I don't really have a story. I can just say that in all my years roleplaying, playing video games online and generally being part of the internet population I've never met a group of people who make me care about them so much. I really do consider everyone in this group to be my friend, and I'm always happy to accept other people into the fold. I always enjoy the stories that we make together and I look forward to making more in the future.

The very fact that the Dodgers have been around for three years is amazing to me, we're practically ancient now.

Lets do three more years.

Happy Birthday Dodgers.
