STEELE MAGNOLIA'S GUIDE TO MOTHERSHIP RAIDS AND SUPERSIDICKING (once I16 goes live)

With the advent of Supersidicking all members of the team will be sidekicked or exemplared to the team leader. No longer will it be necessary for individual pairs of mentors and sidekicks. When you join a team with a team leader of differing level you will require a sidekick or exemplar. The sidekick or exemplar is automatic and enacted by game mechanics. If you have not preset an auto accept (in Menu >Options can be preset for 1 all the way to 50) you will be prompted with a popup with a timer of 30 seconds. If you decline or at the end of 30 seconds if you have not accepted you will be kicked from the team.

Sidekicking no longer has a range. Regardless of distance between mentor and sidekick the sidekicking will be retained. No longer will a sidekick die if the mentor goes to the hospital. The range for xp, prestige, and influence/infamy gained from defeated mobs remains.

The Rikti War Zone no longer has a level limit. Any character can enter.

Vanguard Merits are still limited to 35+ characters. In order to earn Vanguard merits a character must complete the Introduction to Vanguard arc with Levantera. Only characters 35+ can do this. This level requirement has not changed.

What this means for Mothership Raids:

The team leader should be level 50. The second and preferrably third as well members of the team should also be level 50. This will ensure that all team members are at least level 50 or SK'd to 49. In the event of the leader DC'ing, as often happens, the star will change hands and the team will retain these levels preventing a teamwipe.

Team Leaders should use care in choosing whom to invite. With the zone no longer being level restricted any level character could be seeking to join a team. If they are below 50 once they are on the team their level will be reflected on the team list as a sidekicked 49. The only way to check true character level is by right clicking on the character name in the team list and looking at 'info'.

Team Leaders should build their teams with care if they choose to invite characters below 35. If a team is not combat viable because it has several lowbies it will not reap good rewards. The raid as a whole has to be combat viable. Keep this in mind.

There is no longer any excuse not to go to the hospital. If you don't get a rez within a minute, GO!
