Nice The World Ends with You Avatar, first of all.

I admit when I looked at Pain Dom (Not paying any attention whatsoever to what Posi or others have said,) it looked like Villain Empathy. If I didn't hate Empathy so much I would have made one.

Now I might. I'm curious to give it a try and honestly I like the idea of the powerset more than just randomly skipping over it in character creation.

But they are right. You need more humor in your guide XD

Other than that, thanks much.

Alpha Zulu, it's a guide. It's not a "What's your opinion on Pain Doms?" Thread. Your comments are therefore not really appropriate. He's trying to do something helpful and you're essentially griefing a guide thread because you don't like the powerset. You're entitled to your own opinion but it would make more sense to have them in a thread that they would be appropriate for.

[eat a pie :P]

I must be an oddball because I can think of many, many, many times of putting a team together and specifically requesting people to play a drk or storm. Yes everyone loves a good kin, but tohit debuffs and control by chaos are definitely sets that are very effective on many teams.

As far as people not wanting a stormy on the team, I can only surmise its because the particular individual didn't know how to play their stormy on a team. A good stormy or drk can play the roles of both tank and troller all in one and keep a team fairly safe to boot..

Well If your a shield or ice tank having a dark defender on your team HELPS your defense and survivability more than you might think. Since the chances of getting hit are much much lower.

If your a defense toon, you want team mates with tohitt- debuffs (and lots of them) it will make any mission and any TF/SF just that much easier for you.

Then again its all about how well the person leading knows the game and the other power sets. I would never reject a dark or stormy. And I would ask for one if I was playing a pure defense based toon to be even more uber But hey I can see why a noob would not see it that way.

/my 2 cents on that topic.

In regards to the guide it was very well thought out and I am sure it will help some people. However, I personally lile thermal better as it fits my playstyle more.
