PAX 2009 Exclusive In-game Items codes not workin
I thought I read that they were going to have sign-ups to have codes e-mailed after the event this time? I guess they changed their mind... or I'm just going crazy.
Anyway, all I can say is make sure you log into your NCsoft account, add the code, apply it to your game account, and the costume power will be listed in your "Inherent" list on all your characters.
Other than that.. At what point does the code fail? Is it letting you add it at PlayNC, but not to apply it to your game account? Are the powers just not showing up on your characters? Maybe the codes aren't active yet for some reason?
I guess you'll have to contact support and take it up with them.
Edit:
I'm half-crazy. I was apparently thinking of the KoA costume at CamesCom.
When you are there, ask to speak with Jenny our mysterious City of Heroes representative and give them the email address that is registered on your NCsoft Master Account. Once the GamesCom is over, you will be receiving an email from us containing that much coveted code.

Anyway, I'd wait a day or two maybe and then if it still does nothing, get a /petition going.
I got my code today at the PAX booth, no matter what transmutation i try the serial code on the card I got for the PAX 2009 exclusive In-game Item isn't working. ... please help, and thank you!
FYI NCSoft's booth area was the best, seems like everyone else cut way back, there really wasn't as much to look at this year and WAY more people attended. |

k, this is ticking me off i've tried V's U's, W's and they all say invalid serial code
Ok, even though this is basic beyond belief I'm going to walk through the steps just to make sure you've actually done each of them.
On the cityofheroes.com site log into your master account. Then click on Use a Serial code. There is also a link to the use a serial code function under specific game account upgrade options but I entered mine at the first use a serial code link and it worked.
Turn on your capslock key. The serial number shouldn't be case sensitive but I always turn on my capslock anyway just because it's easier to confirm the code if it exactly resembles the one on the card.
Enter the 20 character code into the serial number box. No spaces, no -, nothing but the continuous string of letters and numbers.
Click on continue and it should give you the option of what accounts it can be applied to.
I'm not trying to insult your intelligence here. I'm just telling you the exact steps I went through to activate my code. There are a lot of possible minor changes in the method that should make no difference like having capslock on or putting in the - character or applying the code through your specific game account. But since it worked for me and not for you it's possible that "should make no difference" is actually "does make a difference".
If you try to apply the code with exactly the method that I suggested and it doesn't work then there are two other possible things to try. One, you can send me a picture of the code and I can tell you if it looks like mine did. Or two you can PM Niviene or Posi or Pohsyb or whoever it was at the booth when you got your code and explain the problem and what steps you had to take to get the code when you visited the booth. Odds are you'll either have a new code PMed to you or just activated on your account.

I finally got it, thank you so much. the stupid V looked like a Y LOL
I figured it was something like that because of the way the W looked in mine. They use a really bad font for the codes.
