Not quite a technical issue or a bug (post-updates?)

This is the predownload for I16, this has happened at least the last 2 times. It is fully interuputable if you are unable to wait but means that you won't have to do the full download when it's finally made live.
Yeah seeing how if I remember correctly (and I'm goin on 70 hours with no sleep... deadlines suck) the total filesize was like a bit over 200 megs. so this is just a precursor to the new update I would assume then. its what I figured.
Yup, I'd imagine this is a reasonably big issue so best to get it out of the way early
Ok, normally when we load the game if theres a update, the screen shows up and starts downloading said update... When we START the game. the last two times I loaded the game, played for a bit and logged out to desktop... the updater started and started downloading a 85 meg set of files. (two times cause last time I stopped it cause it was interfering with another download) this time it completed but this is the first time I've ever seen it do a post-update instead of the usual update before the game loads. Any answers on why this happened and what got updated? (playing regular server and not test... would be odd if this was a patch to the test server when I'm playing on the regular one and no -test switch in my shortcut...)
