So I was in a game a little bit ago and some guys mentioned something called port forwarding and said this would help with me mapserver disconnects that I have been getting lately.

What is port forwarding and do I need to do that to get CoH to stop mapserving me every 10 minutes?

A NAT Router translates all the game ports just fine.
So no, it won't help. Port forwarding is only useful if you have a real firewall.

Mapserving can be cause by all kinds of things, so posting your DXDiag and Hijackthis can be a good start.
