Can't read some threads

If you have your "posts per page" set to 500, all exceedingly-long threads will error. Set to 100 posts per page until they fix it. If they fix it.

There are some threads in this forum that I can no longer read. When I try to access them I get an http 500 error. Specifically one of my favorite threads (I love costumes) is in the Screenshots & Fan creations section. It is called:
Color Palette Costume Contest: the RESURRECTION!
I have emailed a few that I know post in that forum. They assure me they can access it. I see that it has new posts. That specific thread I have been unable to access for over a week now.
I just tried to follow the link in the DEV Digest to BABs post about worst movie got the same result.
I have tried with both IE8, and Google's Chrome. I get the same result with both browsers.
I'd appreciate any help. It gets old being blocked out of random threads.
