What does defence in Grant Cover do?

Here's an interesting question. I've noticed that slotting Battle Agility for defence (as it should be) lists it increases three parameters: "ranged," "AoE" and "Defence." Looking at the power's real numbers, it lists that my slotting increases my "resistance to defence." Which is cool, I want to have a lot of that!

However, my question is the following - would slotting defence buff enhancements in Grant Cover produce the same effect? The power's actual setup is so wonky that its "real numbers" don't list its defence value at all, just listing resistance to defence. When attempting to enhance the power, it's telling me that it will increase my "defence," but I have no idea what "defence" stands for in this case. Is this the total defence granted to allies, or is it the defence debuff resistance granted to me? I can't slot the power for defence yet, as I have things in there that I don't want to override, but if it increases my defence debuff resistance, I'll definitely want to slot it at SOME point.

So, would anyone know anything about this?

It increases the defense you give to your allies. Your defense debuff resistance is unaffected.

Crap! OK, then does does slotting Battle Agility for defence increase the amount of my defence debuff resistance? It's listed it does, and from what I've seen of Super Reflexes, the toggles' defence debuff resistance is slottable, as well. Or seems to be, anyway.

Slotting BA for def does indeed increase the DDR provided by the power.

Allow me to express my state of understanding in a single smilie:

Still, thank you for your help If I know that Grant Cover's defence debuff resistance is not slottable for, then I'm afraid my team-mates are going to have to go to hell, because I am NOT devoting slots to this power if it's not going to do anything for me. And I would have, otherwise.

Pity.

Oh, well. More slots for other stuff!

I'm using it for 3 LoTG (def/end, def/end/rech, and the unique) for the set bonuses, it's also my lvl 50 power and I don't have anyplace else to put those last two spots.

Active 50s:
Zero Defex: DP/MM//Mace Blaster
Mutant X-7: Fire/MM//Mace Blaster

But I hope strongly that they assume a meth-head somehow managed to hack into my forum account and make paper airplanes out of my posts, because I hope they recognize stupid when they see it. Combat attributes, on a tanker. Stays at 17.3% regardless of the slotting.

Comparing the two versions on CoD, one is flagged as "ignoring enhancements and buffs", the other isn't. Huh. I stand corrected, gotta remember never to apply logic in this game without double checking.
